With the cuts that WN has made at DAL in the last 5 months as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is enough room at DAL for WN to make adds such as (a) the addition of DAL-BUF/CVG/BDL/ORF nonstop service and (b) the return of DAL-BOS/CLE/HRL/JAX/PDX/RNO/SEA/PBI nonstop service.
Here is the breakdown of WN nonstop service out of DAL starting today:
5x ABQ, 3x AMA, 5x ATL, 7x AUS, 2x BHM, 5x BNA, 4x BWI, 1x CHS, 1x CLT, 1x CMH, 3x DCA, 7x DEN, 3x ECP, 4x ELP, 2x FLL, 14x HOU, 2x IND, 5x LAS, 5x LAX, 3x LBB, 1x LGA, 2x LIT, 3x MAF, 5x MCI, 2x MCO, 7x MDW, 2x MEM, 1x MKE, 4x MSY, 1x OAK, 1x OMA, 6x PHX, 1x PIT, 3x PNS, 3x SAN, 6x SAT, 2x SJC, 1x SLC, 1x SMF, 4x STL, 2x TPA, 4x TUL
144 daily departures out of DAL (down from the originally planned 195 daily departures by 51 daily departures)
DAL-BUR/DTW/MSP/ONT/PHL/RDU/SDF nonstop service still suspended until at least 10/8/2020
DAL-CMH/MKE/PIT nonstop service suspended starting on 9/6/2020 until at least 10/8/2020
While DL already serves DTW, MSP, LGA, and SLC nonstop from DFW, I had also mentioned DL adding DAL-DTW/MSP/LGA/SLC nonstop service as a possibility as (a) DL was wanting additional flights at DAL if extra capacity becomes available at DAL, (b) DL previously considered serving DTW, MSP, LGA, and SLC nonstop from DAL, and (c) WN making cuts at DAL due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Will WN take advantage of the available capacity at DAL to add new nonstop routes such as DAL-BUF/CVG/BDL/ORF with the cuts that WN has made on other WN nonstop routes at DAL?
Is WN likely to announce any new nonstop routes out of DAL in Thursday's schedule extension?
