Nobody from the Caribbean and South America can enter in Costa Rica by now.

Point taken.
It should be noted that all the nations have been facing a new and deadly disease. They're acting with caution.
The local authorities are allowing foreigners here gradually, in different stages.
From the very beginning, only Canadians and residents from the European Union.
The next filter periods considered selected US states, some Asian countries, Mexico, all the United States and finally Central America from October 15th.
The rest of nationalities might be welcomed here into the following weeks.
On the other hand, Central Americans cannot enter in Europe by now for the same reason.
Some medical sources state that the risk of contagious is very low for those passengers flying on a jet-plane and following are the protocols, of course.
The trend might be focused in open boundaries internationally and implementing these strict sanitary controls worldwide.

I have my doubts about UA LAX-SAP 3x weekly. Los Angeles metropolitan area is not a large VFR market for Honduras as Texas is.
As far as I know, even UA EWR-SAP has never operated daily, speaking about the behavoir on the Honduras - New York City market.
Anyways, good luck for United in this new venture in Central America !

United is acting agressively in Central America: they're not only Houston and New York/Newark.

Sort of surprised UA has never operated MGA-EWR. I wouldn't expect it at the moment but you'd think they could make that route work 3-4x weekly or something.

Would be a good way to make use of a UA frame coming from IAH spending the night in MGA.
Red-eyes MGA-EWR and a red-eyes EWR-MGA with aircraft flying onto IAH later.
However, IMHO, it might only work seasonal, a couple of nights, 6-8 week period; same as twice weekly LAX-MGA and once per week ORD-MGA, red-eyes both ways. SFO-MGA, IAD-MGA and DEN-MGA? no way, until Nicaragua becomes a very popular tourist destination for US travellers.

IMHO, AV will keep SAL-LIM, maybe not daily, as SAL hub would offer LIM several connections BOG doesn't, but SJO-LIM definitely will be gone.

I've watched it. The safety video starts at 40:20' for those who want the skip the first part.
It mentioned the 737 as the sole equipment on Copa Airlines at this time.
Their E90s were active last year. However, they weren't taken into account, disregarding the Covid-19 crisis.

I'm hoping to see the return of TIJ-SJO and TIJ-GUA by Volaris. They were effectively flights to San Diego because of the CBX bridge.

One of the weird things for passengers was that they'd have to go through Mexican customs and immigration because of the few hundred feet to walk into the US. A new "in-transit" terminal being built should address this problem.

Based on the records of this series, I don't recall Volaris flying the SJO-TIJ sector, in the past. They briefly flew Q6 SJO-GDL instead till September 2018. Q6 GDL-GUA was also in service before.
The route heading to Tijuana was scheduled as Q6 SAL-GUA-TIJ, thrice a week with 319 from September 2017. It was canceled over Q6 SAL-LAX plus Q6 GUA-LAX, in March 2018. Both El Salvador and Guatemala drive a large O&D market to South California area.
In other news: AF, AC and B6 resume operations in Costa Rica from November 2020. AF CDG-SJO started again on October 30th.

I found an old news article. You're right. GUA and SAL were available out of TIJ but not SJO.

I must've mistakenly remembered SJO because I met some Volaris Costa Rica crew on the tolley coming from downtown San Diego once. Their accent was unusual for my ears. I zeroed in on them being from Central America but which country? They were very friendly folks when I asked. It was kind of like the bar scene in "Inglorious Bastards".

The TIJ route was an interesting experiment. LAX was clearly the better destination since most of the passengers were probably going that way. I wonder if TIJ vs LAX fees made it worth attempting? If so, I'm hoping once the in-transit terminal is built, and shuttle service routes to/from the CBX to the LA area are improved, similar exotic flights show up.

Copa was on the brink of starting TIJ-PTY before covid. There must've been good reasons why they would consider landing a few hundred feet south of the US border when practically all of the passengers would be heading to the US then the LA area.

I've been hearing rumours about CM in SAN since it started SFO.
As for Western USA, my guess was that CM would fly to PHX before SAN.
Most likely CM eventually choosing TIJ over SAN might be due to TIJ operations being more affordable than SAN.

It's a very long interview. I think the key moments are at minutes 19, 22, 28, and 44. Copa Airlines was mentioned twice. The new international terminal being built wasn't mentioned but it's already a steel frame structure at TIJ.

Both GUA and SAL have a good coverage to LAX by now and supplied by their competitors. So, it's hard to believe any resumption to Tijuana on Volaris as back-up for L.A. within the covid-19 crisis.
Copa Airlines hasn't started many of their former destinations prior to March 2020. Perhaps it's not time for thinking in new destinations; they began Puerto Vallarta in 2018.

Only their stellar Mexican stations are working on Copa Airlines at this time: Mexico City and Cancun.
Speaking about Volaris Costa Rica, their flights are due to start again from November 23rd. Their expansion plans haven't been as large as they planned in 2017.

Copa's E90s fleet did not have PTVs or screens so all safety announcements were performed by flight crew. The only difference vs old video was when the video showed 6 or 8 emergency exits if you were on a 737-700 or -800.I believed they may have make that part for the -700 but not relevant any longer since they stored all their -700s. 737-MAX has 8 emergency exits too so the video is suitable for both type of aircrafts in their fleet nowdays.

If it is true, UA LAX-BZE would complement UA DEN-BZE 1x weekly, as new routes from Belize on UA.
UA has an aggresive expansion linking Los Angeles and Central America, given UA LAX-SAP 3x weekly, UA LAX-LIR 3x weekly and UA LAX-SJO 7x weekly, starting from December till January.
Both UA LAX-GUA and UA LAX-SAL will increase their frequencies, in such filter period.

Impressive Latin American expansion from UA at LAX. They pretty much have Mexico and Central America covered, which are the highest O/D destinations to LAX in Latin America.

CM is resuming PTY-GDL this month along with HAV, ORD, FLL, SFO, GEO, ASU, SXM and CCS. Looks like MTY will be suspended until 2021.
In December, they will be resuming AUA, CNF, YUL, BOS and DEN.

It is so. Both AA and UA will be on LAX BZE starting January 9th. Both at 1X. Almost identical non-redeye schedules. AA with a 321 and UA with a 738. UA replaces DL that was on the route for many years with a 752/738
