doesn't look too hot for F9 and also NK with the CARES act gearned more towards larger carriers

We don't know F9's finances but I can see CH11 in the next several months, looking at how much they need to reduce in order to stave off cash burn, and Indigo at that pint will sell it off IMO

Do carriers actually have to operate all of these flights or can they just schedule them and then cancel them closer to departure? If completion isn't mandated, I can see some carriers playing this game if the loads are weak.

I thought I saw CLE and CVG in Sarasota’s schedule For July so that’s nice for them to come back even if it’s only Saturdays right now, with PHL Saturday’s too And the only actual new flight ORD is very exciting. Will they continue the SRQ to MCO to ORD flights the other days still? I’m about to catch that flight right now. All in all a bit busier Saturday in July for SRQ!

Are these all new? I feel like at least PHL-MYR/PBI existed previously.

I'm quite surprised that F9 is resuming ORD-PNS, but I'm really glad that ORD-SRQ is getting low cost service! I don't really know if ORD-SRQ would end up like ATL-SRQ did, but we'll have to see for ourselves.

BOS-TPA/RSW was a big shock for me as well. I don't really know how they will stack up against B6 on these routes.

Also, I'm glad that F9 brought back MCO-LAX, and hopefully they will stick around with this route.

Wait did they just open CLE/PHL-SRQ 7 days before the inaugural?

They did... but actually checking out the seat map for both routes it’s already pretty booked up. Fares are already up to $109 from $49 this morning.

I'm a little surprised too, but I'm guessing F9 is taking advantage of cuts by other carriers. Pre COVID-19, WN/AA/UA all had flights from Chicago (ORD/MDW) to PNS. All three dumped those flights at least in June. I think F9 sees a window. It's only 1x week, so low risk, but caters to those wanting a week vacation.

You have no idea how much I have been complaining about lack of competition on SRQ to ORD route! I’m at the gate now and the amount of people coming off the Frontier flight was a good surprise and about to board are mostly young and young families with I would guess at least half of the airplane. While a United E-75 that departs about an hour before was mostly full with most being 65+ of age. So I’m hoping this service will stay on.

For anyone that is curious, concourse where Frontier flies out of at MCO was packed at 4-5pm for the 4-5 flights, and my flight to ORD had maybe 1-3 empty seats.

Frontier's owner (Franke) is saying they are bullish on an uptick in the re-opening of family attractions nationwide. The announcement today of eighteen "new" routes is indicative of his optimism.

Good day for PVD. Frontier joins JetBlue I’m adding Florida service this Fall/Winter. Hoping for no second wave of COVID for both the human as well as the success factor for these new flights.

Appears the Frontier owner Franke is ratcheting up his airline with a significant increases of multi-daily flights from various locations. This is a major change in how F9 has operated in the past. Is it sustainable, only time will tell.

Frontier has been lucky because they offer low costs to the consumer, so their flights are going to be closer to being full due to the fact that many people want to get out of their homes and go places. Franke is just trying to capitalize on this fact,

Anyone have any clue what in the world is happening with their August schedule? I’m just doing dummy bookings right now and it seems they have cut way more than July.
