Ryanair says could start getting 737 MAX by April

Ryanair could receive its first deliveries of up to 10 grounded 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing by April, the airline's chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said.

But Mr Jacobs cautioned that the timing was dependent on regulators.

GOL are saying the same.
while today, AA have removed the MAX from flight schedules until June.

Has anyone seen any sneak peeks of the new EI uniform? Really looking forward to the reveal on Wednesday!

More blue than green on first look at the ladies designs. With hints of teal.
Gents will be a very dark navy. Keeping the light blue shirt. No idea if there is a waistcoat.
Ladies will have a choice, skirt and blouse, full length dress or trousers and blouse.

“Join us at 10.00am on Wednesday January 15th for an exclusive showcase of our new uniform. We can’t wait to share it with you.”

Check out Aer Lingus Facebook for a sneak peak at some of the cloth and materials used. They will be live streaming on FB from 10:00 Dublin time.

The previews in that video look promising and in line with what many expect, a similar colour palette but with a modern design and cut.

It shows a sketch of a waistcoat for the men, I hope that features in the final design as they can keep a uniform sharp and looking smart even when the jacket is removed.

Not surprised if there’s a focus on blue, while the livery no longer features the colour, it’s still very much part of the corporate brand and features heavily elsewhere in the company.

Seems they'll be live streaming there too. Looking forward to seeing it!

According to another forum, more A333s are on the way for Aer Lingus. At least one ex-Qatar A333 (A7-AEH) should arrive in April, likely to replace EI-EWR as it comes off its five year lease. It will become EI-EIK.

A second ex-Qatar A333 is also expected to arrive, again acting as a replacement for one of the current frames.

These are of course in addition to the *new* A333s due to enter service this year, these are still expected to be final passenger A330ceo’s built by Airbus.

The business class on that Qatari A333 looks much better than the last one EI leased (EI-GEY).

Definitely, still a 2-2-2 config so slightly inferior to Aer Lingus’ current product but a big step up from the very dated cabin that EI-GEY came with.

Speaking of EI-GEY, seems it has finally been updated into standard Aer Lingus configuration and should be back in service soon.

Interesting - so a net gain of two units? Must be done new destinations on the horizon?

While there is expected to be a net gain of two units, I think the previously announced increased frequencies across the Atlantic keep them busy while allowing some additional cover during the week.

Aer Lingus has already suggested that it hopes to provide more fleet flexibility this year, particularly on long haul.

Pretty much everything is accounted for this summer.

Not as bland as the new branding. Not sure of the green on blue - looks better the other way!

They ran with the 3/14 length sleeves though which some staff during trials were mixed about. I wonder if they compromised and are giving them a choice. Also it was nice to see familiar faces on the cat walk who us regular flyers see all the time at DUB.

Great design.

I’m actually pleasantly surprised just how nice and well put together the entire look is. Also fair play to the crew and staff who walked the catwalk, it’s not an easy thing to do and they all looked great, definitely some familiar faces in there too!

Personally I really like the navy dress, it’s a great silhouette and the other variations seems to be designed to look good on all shapes and sizes. The men’s uniform is a huge improvement, it’s smart and finally brings it all together very nicely.

Really like the brand collar and the scarf details too, adds a bit a flare!

An improvement if not still a little underwhelming compared to other uniforms/airlines. Sure t'wil be grand as they say ;)

Timing may play a role here. The 2 new A330 will be in service before the summer and will be fully tasked with the planned increase in frequency (SEA,MCO,MIA)
No word on when those 2nd hand airframes will arrive, maybe EI want to squeeze another summer out of MSN 330 (EWR)

Not too keen on some of the Items in the new uniform but overall its not too bad. The contrasting green collar on the long men's coat is quite cool, and the suit looks fairly sharp. Perhaps its like the new livery, it will grow on customers.

I suppose not many uniforms stand out nowadays. I think Ryanair's one that was launched a few years back has aged quite well, particularly the long yellow coats.

I flew in on that inaugural service... where did that 8 years go to?!

Great to see how much the traffic and variety at Dublin has grown in that period.

Thanks for sharing. Definitely a step up from -GEY. Additionally this one already has the mood lighting and also the higher center overhead bins, which is a nice upgrade.

Ryanair secures injunctions against travel booking site

Ryanair says a court in Hamburg has granted it interim injunctions against German travel search engine, Skyscanner.de.

The airline claims the case relates to the website's alleged display of Ryanair fares with a hidden mark-up that lead to higher fares than those on Ryanair.com.

With the RJ85 EI-RJX no longer available, the Leinster rugby team has had to look for new means of transport this season. They have flown out to Italy with Aer Lingus this week, using an Aer Lingus A320 for a trip to Treviso (flight from Dublin to Venice):

Has anyone seen the new EI uniform "in the wild" yet? I will be interested to see how it translates from the press pictures and the runway to the aisles.

A mate of mine got theirs and certainly the material seems better compared to the old uniform. The trousers, jumper and tie for the Men is more comfortable for some compared to the suit.
