I'd just use the ignore feature. The poster does not have a basic understanding of how airline route management and fleet planning works and is incredibly upset that British Airways flies thrice a day to Miami for some odd reason.

They DONT fly thrice a day MIA-LHR. How many BA flights
Operated MIA-LHR today? How many operate tomorrow? The next day? Does TWO (BA 206 & BA 208) now all of a sudden equal three?

You clearly didn’t read the opening post. 3 daily resumes on October 25, 2020. It was only a temporary suspension.

You clearly didn’t read your buddy MAH4546’s post that I replied to. NOWHERE did he say it’s *only* three times daily starting Oct 25th. He said verbatim I’m “incredibly upset that British Airways flies thrice a day to Miami for some odd reason.” Where do you see Oct 25th anywhere in his post???

British Airways has loaded back it’s third daily Miami-Heathrow flight, recently suspended due to fleet engine issues with the Trent 1000 that caused decreased long haul capacity.

Interestingly, it’s a post midnight departure from Miami. I’ve never seen that. Service resumes October 25th 2020.

BA 209 LHR 1610-2155 744 Daily
BA 210 MIA 0015-1235+1 744 Daily

Edited to add: Totally forgot about daylight savings. It’s only post midnight departure for the first week.

Just a slight correction - the outbound flight number is 211, resulting in the following schedule:

BA207 LHR - MIA 09:35 - 15:25
AA39 LHR - MIA 09:35 - 15:40
AA57 LHR - MIA 11:35 - 17:35
BA209 LHR - MIA 14:15 - 20:10
BA211 LHR - MIA 16:10 - 21:55

BA206 MIA - LHR 18:15 - 06:35
AA56 MIA - LHR 19:05 - 07:45
AA38 MIA - LHR 20:30 - 09:15
BA208 MIA - LHR 22:05 - 10:55
BA210 MIA - LHR 00:15 - 12:35

Utterly utterly ridiculous that BA and AA depart at the same time (09.35hrs). Why does BAA even allow that kind of thing at Heathrow? I think the Japanese airlines both fly to NRT or HND at approx. the same time too.

WHY? Surely it is better for passengers to have more choice, rather than both options so close together?

The issue with the Trent engines has meant a degree of back fill and re-shuffling of B787 flying with B747, hence the Miami frame was displaced. At least two BA Dreamliners are still parked up engineless at LHR, G-ZBJF at TB1A and G-ZBKN outside TBK.

Thank you. Some people have difficulty understanding the concept that troubles with a certain fleet type have a residual effect on the network, create a reshuffling and might lead to flying cut operated by other aircraft.

Slots and time zones and that must be a popular time to travel?

The Japanese carriers don’t have anything to do with earth other and offer a schedule that best uses the slots they have at both HND and LHR and the best times available for their HV customers.

If I was in charge of LHR, I would make sure of at least 1hr gap between flights to an identical destination. It is common sense.
