Wow, sounds rather like damage control i.e. making the best use out of the situation.
Thank you for your feedback.
Wonder how they use the surplus VLA‘s...

That would be LH's own A343 returning to the mainline fleet. So no acquiring involved.

They didn't send any A346s for storage. D-AIHB and D-AIHF are just undergoing maintenance at MNL and MLA respectively.

Maybe they didn't recently. But between 2016 and 2018 seven LH A346s were scrapped.

All SunExpress operated A332 will receive the current Lufthansa Business Class Seat which is also already installed in the A333 operated by Brussels for EWG.

Is D-AIHB being repainted? Flew in it last year and I wouldn't want it to have the beautiful old livery removed. I guess heavy maintenance in MNL means it won't be retired for a while though?

No, the aircrafts are not repainted in MNL.

It is pure madness in times of drastic climate change to fly an A 346 over 9000 km empty(!!!!) from Germany to Manila just to have it maintenances there. How many additional emissions are blown into the air unnecessarily! Where is the social and environmental responsibility of Lufthansa? Surely it must be possible to carry out maintenance at the LH yards in Hamburg, Franfurt or Malta!

What about the millions and millions of cars using the Autobahn every day, usually with only the driver on board? What about the giant containers ships sailing between Asia and Europe to transport consumer goods that could also be made in Germany? What about all the people who burn coal or wood to warm their homes? What about aircraft delivery flights from Seattle to Frankfurt? Also pure madness? How many emissions are blown into the air unnecessarily by people taking a flying holiday? What's the point of all the flights from Germany to Southern Europe when the local summer weather is just as pleasant, perhaps even more pleasant?
You might also argue Lufthansa takes social responsability seriously by creating valuable jobs in the Philippines.

Some of the 20 Boeing 787 LH ordered are likely to end up with OS, though the distribution within LH group hasn't been decided on yet.

All NEOs delivered from now on have a group spec. Same cabin for LH/LX/OS and other harmonizations

What's the difference between that and what the older A320neos have? I was in D-AINO last year - is that new or old spec?

Not at all, check his page and scroll down to the 744 fleet.
D-ABVO is in PEK for maintenance.

D-AINO 100% has the old cabin. Though I’m curious which LH A320neo was the first to be equipped with the new cabin.

The switch happend somewhere mid 2019, don't know precisely which one.

There were no 320neo's between Jun '19 and Jan '20. Does this mean that D-AINV/W/X (that were the first 32N delivered directly to MUC) are already with the new cabin?
