Fri Jan 17, 2020 11:23 am

The aircraft involved will be sent on routes out of FRA to BWI, MSP, MSY & PIT.

This seems like a good sign that their restructuring is going well. I think this is the first time since the bankruptcy that they are able to plan ahead and move forward rather than spend all their time cleaning up the messes that Thomas Cook left them.

It comes weeks after announcing a couple of new routes: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1436205

I guess the fleet capacity need stems from that. At least aircraft will be needed from Omni.

Does the relatively low seat count hint on the rare 767-200? That would be a good opportunity for people who still need to log one before they are all gone.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

Don't think so. Omni's 762s have less than 200 in Y. The closest is their 763s that have C22Y224. Condor's fleet is either configured C18W35Y217 or C30W35Y180.

Will Condor be selling those J class seats as a package upgrade?

Well, that's one way to look at it.

Another would be that they're scattered in more directions that they can handle, leaving customers and airports wondering WTH their actual plans are... as was the case with MSY.

Local media was wondering if the gateway had been "ghosted" by DE, whether it was financially wise to book the carrier after failing to announce its seasonal resumption at the normal time (with no statement of any kind as to their intentions), and whether pax should look elsewhere for low cost TATL accommodations.

Not exactly an inspiring way to do business.
I myself, suspect a more prosaic motive... ~Thranduil

They are, it's a nice ride, I'm guessing they will sell the first class cabin as premium economy. All seats have IFE, for these "short flights" they are fine.

Is it you who name those seats first class or have you been told that? I'm asking because Omni advertise those as Business seats on their site: https://www.oai.aero/fleet?plane=B767-300ER

This inanity is starting to sound like a thread on Flyertalk.

You wet-lease or track-charter a plane from Omni, you can have it as-is, or you can pay for it to be reconfigured a certain way. Unless and until Condor or Omni announces what's happening, nobody knows what the configuration will be. Omni keeps its planes looking very nice inside.

And you can have whatever service standard you want to pay for.

Routesonline.com says the config they are going with is 19C 222Y.

Am I correct in saying that cabin crew will be DE but pilots will be OY?
