It is, but at least they are doing it live. You can imagine they are doing it slightly differently to what normally they would do, just because what has happened.

They are sticking their heads over the trenches, I have no problem with the extra marketing stuff.

Need to get the technical side sorted out.

Looking forward to the wingtips going down.

My original post got deleted, why?!

Shame they didn't use something like Youtube to watch on TV and other no website friendly devices, but as you say, at least they're doing a video.

That's odd I'm watching on the Boeing Website

Boeing site is up and running here also now.

What a beautiful airplane! I am looking forward to my first trip :-D

How long do the tips take to stow and be checked? Do the pilots have small checklist or is it just a switch and warning light going out?

About 20s, it's just flipping a switch and the pre-flight checks then show "extended". https://theaircurrent.com/technology/ho ... tips-work/ here's a great article

Flip of the switch and the come down pretty quickly. On landing they automatically go up once it hits 50 knots.

Agreed. I never thought the 787 was good looking with it's stubby, low stance. It always looked weird/off to me. But looks just 'right', the 777X is beautiful.

Thank you! Does that mean the exit limit certification can go beyond 440 if 5 sets of doors are installed ?

I admit I am a bit nervous about this from a passenger perspective. There are several examples of crashes when pilots forget to deploy flaps on takeoff.

Also, how do they plan to ensure the wings can't fold in flight? There is also that Lauda Air plane that crashed when slats deployed in flight.

It strikes me as "something else that can go wrong." Can someone explain why I'm wrong about this?

The 777x is still waiting to fly as I stream this. I am hoping she'll fly over my house in Snohomish. Of course the weather kinda sucks today. Typical PNW drizzle and low clouds (typical for January).
At least it is 50F outside.
