The share price is going down in proportion to the plane sitting there today

https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BA?p=BA&.tsrc=fin-srch

It would be amusing for the plane to take off and the price to go up.

Yes, sensor is just burning itself inside the device. They just shut off, and you can somewhat hear the engines...

I heard the Alaska bird start to take off and ran back in to see if it was engine rev-up!
Cool to see them taxi by their big sister in PAE.

Weather is getting better now. Less rain, more sun. Hopefully less wind.

I think how long they can wait at this point is limited by the bladder capacity of the pilots in the chase helicopter and plane.

Are they flying with the wind because they don't want to south into Sea traffic?

Isn't it ironic that when in service with BA and others, this is exactly what the 779 will be doing at LHR for the next ten years.

Winds still gusting at 29 knots

https://www.aviationweather.gov/taf/board?ids=KPAE suggests it should drop to 12 knots within the hour, but no lower.

X is short for 'experimental', pretty much every new Boeing model starts off with an X in the designation till marketing decides what to call it for real.

Off topic, but is the 779's MLG bogey designed to lock in position on rotation, like the 773's, to foster greater aft fuselage clearance?

EDIT: clarification re: "on rotation"
