Holy hell that is the slowest immigration facility I've ever used. I went to SFO's website and filled out a complaint form. They replied and blamed the wait time on the virus, which is ludicrous because it should be shorter without any flights from China arriving.
Travelers who visited China in the last 14 days can still arrive at US airports even without nonstop flights.
SFO and CDC are doing their job perfectly.
I'm not American, so no, I wouldn't have been allowed. SFO is doing its job terribly. It's the slowest immigration falicity I've ever used. This is a really bad first impression for the country.
acomp did not say if you would be allowed or not. It's that travelers who've visited China recently can still arrive via intermediate stop, which is not the same thing. Thats what is being referenced with respect to wait time, real or not.
