If Etihad is indeed refocusing to become a regional niche carrier then the 787-10 fits them like a glove. Unfortunately they have a lot of sunk cash in the bigger stuff which needs dealing with first.
Even the 773ER is probably too big for them in this new vision of Etihad.

I think Etihad should withdraw the Boeing 777-300ER and they already have better and more efficient aircraft, for high capacity missions they have the Boeing 787-10 and ultra-long range the Airbus A350-1000

With EK announcing an astonishing (yet unsurprising in this Covid environment) six-month loss, any ideas on what EY will be ... and when it will be announced?

Ah yep. Was hoping to see for the same period as EK reported, as it covers from the beginning of the airspace closure. Guess we will need to wait until early next year for their July-Dec figures then.

For many countries of the Middle East, especially the emirates of the UAE (which are effectively individual countries, but that discussion is for another time), it's all about saving face. Would rather spend millions in A380 parking fees to keep them there just so they don't have to say "hey, we failed with the A380".

BEG is currently suspended, however looks like EY are scrapping it completely.
