Tarom updated livery

Tue Feb 18, 2020 4:17 pm

Tarom has updated their livery as seen on one of their new ATR 72.

They've adopted the current trend of QF, LH, EI, A3 and an oversized logo.

I do like the silver details on the bird and circles.
The beige part looks weird though, should be silver as well.

I haven't been a fan of the band of color with eurowhite fuselage, but the oversized logo looks nice. I wonder what a rendering of a 737 or something larger would look like. I agree the beige looks out of place.

I like it! The big blue tail stand out. The beige is indeed odd, i'd replace it with silver.
I wonder when people will understand:
Embraer 190 or simply E190, not ERJ-190. E-Jets are NOT ERJs!
Boeing 747-8, not Boeing 747-800. Same goes for 787.
Airbus A320, not Airbus 320.
Airbii does not exist.

whats with all the mess on the 'A' that looks like a load of tiny text, surely could have been better placed. looks like the decal is falling off from a distance

looks to be some text on and next to the cargo door

older 42s and 72s seem to have the text written in black and above the logo

This livery works well because of the triangular tail. It worked well for A3 on the similar tail of the Boeing 733/734. The tail of the A320 won’t help at all. They will have to compromise.

TAROM's livery has always been fine...its the Soviet looking text that bothers me in 2020.

Overall, a boring design. I’d prefer they use the striped colors they used to use years ago with red lettering. Much sharper and attractive. There’s no reason why planes all have to be mostly blue and white these days.

At first I thought it was some kind of primer or deicing-liquid...

For their logo, TAROM applied the same trick like QF did several years ago - before/after:

But I like TAROM's new livery!

Very much like the new TAROM livery. Certainly suits the ATR - not too sure it will suit the larger 737's but it is fresh!

It rarely happens for me to like livery changes nowadays but I like this new livery. The beige indeed looks odd and silver would have been my choice too but overall, I like it. Job well done RO!!!!
