At many Airports, Gates are Limited / There are no Gates available.

We were also told that we will utilize the downtime to get maintenance done on the aircraft and while it wasn’t mentioned, would it be possible for them to speed up any planned cabin mods? Would be nice to get the new Polaris cabin into some frames sooner than anticipated.

In addition to your post UA is also adding additional widebody flying on EWR-SFO/LAX, IAD-SFO/LAX, DEN-LAX, There have also been rumors (I can not confirm them yet) UA may upguage SFO-CUN to a 787 will be interesting to see if this rumor comes true. Most of these upguages once loaded into the schedule should remain until April 22nd or 23rd
Other upguages we have already seen are EWR-HNL 77E, (EWR-SJU 77E (this varies between the usual 764 to a 77W at times)), IAD-SJU 77E, EWR-MCO 764.

Some extra sections with these, yes, but AA at least runs WBs between hubs with some regularity. Plus JFK-LAX/SFO has flat beds in J/F anyway.

Someone else in the now locked thread stated between the US3 this will be the most domestic widebody flying the U.S. has seen in over a decade.

This article has all 3 airlines plans.

I'm surprised that ORD-SFO is getting the nod. It has just 4x 738 tomorrow.
Vegas, baby!
The absence of upgauge to MCO is a surprise.
