#350 for A350

Sun Feb 23, 2020 8:00 pm

Airbus delivers the 350th A350 aircraft to Air France.
#350 in just about 6 years is very impressive. Congratulations to Airbus.

350th A350 for Air France kind of ironic since they are a new A350 operator. Others like Delta, Cathay, Lufthansa, Qatar, and Singapore have flown the A350 for several years and some fly both the -1000 & -900.

The 500th or the 1000th A350 will be important numbers. I am sure, Airbus will take care, that one of the correct airlines will get it. The number 350 is just a "nice" number.

I was on a DL A350 from ATL-ICN and ICN-DTW in the last 2 weeks. What a great plane. Comfortable and very smooth. The one thing I did notice on the DL plane, the crew rest was the last 3 seats in the center section of the plane. It was not an isolated area with beds. I thought that was a bit cheap of DL for the crew.

What is a "correct airline"? I honestly doubt they would arrange it that way, it'll definitely be the luck of the draw.

I believe AF's first 787 was #500 off the line as well.

Doubt the manufacturer or airline really cares. Outside of the airline world it's not as if deliveries are a big deal. It's a photo op, a press release, then on to the next one

Is the MSN #381 Air France, delivered on 12-Feb-2020, not either the 352nd or 353rd A350 delivered to a customer?
On 12-Feb-2020, two have been delivered, the 40th delivered A350-1000 for British Airways and the 313rd A350-900 for Air France. These are the numbers according A380 boards.
As the BA has had the delivery flight few h post the AF, the AF A350 shall be the number 352.

OK, to be sure, let us take an independent approach.
Airbus order and delivery numbers, so let us start as official as possible.

No, of end of Jan-2020, according Airbus Jan-2020 order and delivery sheet: 349 A350 have been delivered.
Delivery flights for Feb-2020 according AIB Family Flights:
03-Feb-2020: A350-941, Asiana Airlines, F-WZFA, HL8381 (MSN 387)-> Number 350
07-Feb-2020: A350-941, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, F-WZHH, SE-RSB (MSN 378)-> Number 351
10-Feb-2020: A350-941, Finnair, F-WWIW, OH-LWP (MSN 392)-> Number 352
11-Feb-2020, 13:21: A350-941, Air France, , F-WZNJ (MSN 381)-> Number 353
11-Feb-2020, 16:45: A350-1041, British Airways, , G-XWBE (MSN 386)-> Number 354
21-Feb-2020: A350-941, Singapore Airlines, F-WWTW, 9V-SHO (MSN 394)-> Number 355

MSN 381 was not the number 350. This was MSN 387 for Asiana Airlines.

Both of you may very well be joking, but i can put my bottom dollar on the fact that zkojq is aware of the city of Nice and how Air France has named its aircraft traditionally.

Just like July 8th, 2007 was for the 787 roll-out: symbolic numbers that have nothing more than a PR purpose.

No, not cheap. There are bunks for the crew that must have been

I thought the last row was often assigned day of or left empty. Perhaps the crew had access to the seats in addition to the rest area? I’d imagine that the seats are easier to access and that rest time is designated with some downtime between services to be in seats.

There is also this version of crew rest on the A350. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8_wB66gITb ... _copy_link
