LH738 FRA-FCO tomorrow ?

Sat Feb 29, 2020 10:23 pm

Looks like LH is listing the flight from Frankfurt to time as 738. Does anyone know who is the operator ? Could it be SunExpress ??

LH has 4 flights FRA-FCO today (Sunday, 1st of March). Would be easier to have asked about the specific flight number, as there is no LH738 flight number.

Were the B738 leases extended into the winter? I thought it was only in summer. I guess those airBaltic C-series are no longer flying for them?

Why does Lufthansa need this extra capacity even in winter?? (Not considering tje coronavirus which is very recent news!)

Lufthansa is increasingly using third-party metal, e.g. SunExpress (B737-800), Germanwings (A319) or airbaltic (A220-300). No longer guaranteed that you end up in a Lufthansa aircraft if you buy a Lufthansa ticket.

How about the cabin crew? Are they LH cabin crew or from the leasing airline’s cabin crew?

As with the EW longhaul operation, due to labour contracts and in the case of the B737-800 missing crew training familiarisation, you will enjoy Sun Express Germany crews (which are not near LH standard, in my own opinion!)...

In the case of the 738, Lufthansa does not have its own crews that are type-qualified.
Keep calm and wash your hands.

The whole concept is sub-standard. Worn-out aircraft, so-so crews, all in all quite mediocre.
