Something is funky with FR24 today. I just checked and it departed the gate a few minutes ago.

I worked for NW on Compass' first day of E-175 ops and remember what an exciting time it was.

10 revenue customers and 20 non-revs... that's probably the busiest flight in AA's system right now

The last Compass flight will be using the Compass Rose callsign.

God speed to the CPZ people. Being an ex NW, there's a bit of sadness in Compass representing the last of the NWA brand.

But as I've written over the past few years, the writing was on the wall with this garbage operation run by pornstache Leach. Delta tried and tried to help CPZ get their crap together, including moving everything out west. But Compass continued to butcher the western operation.

I have no idea how they faired at AA but DL gave up on Leach well over a year ago and began a program to remove them from the system altogether. Not fair to the many great pilots and flight attendants (except the one who was still walking in the aisle upon wheel touchdown in GEG because she was too busy last hour of flight talking in back).

Anyway...never good when an airline goes away and its their employees who take it on the chin.

And interesting in much of their fleet being parked at Marana-Avra Valley which is a new storage site for commercial aircraft. Close enough that Ascend Aviation can still serve the stored fleet from nearby Pinal Air Park (MZJ) but also tells you MZJ is either running out of space or expects further mainline aircraft storage that it doesn't have room for (Ascend had a heavy maintenance contact with Compass).

The final ferry flight just landed in Marana. Last one out will turn off the lights for the last time at Compass. What could have been. To the employees of Compass, I am so sorry. I hope this horrible downturn ends soon, and that we can get you up flying again soon.

Are we looking at Trans states holdings to declare bankruptcy soon
Instead of typing in "mods", consider using the report function.
Love how every "travel blogger" says they will never fly AA/Ethihad again and then says it again and again on subsequent flights.

GoJet is still around, their contracts are still a long ways off from renewal and I believe they recently signed new ones with United. But yeah, Trans State Holdings as a separate company doesn't really make sense anymore. It will probably become a shell like Mesa Air Group, if it remains independent.
