Republic E175 at CYQG ?

Thu Apr 23, 2020 11:35 pm

I happened to pull up the airport on FR24 and noticed the flight operating as RPA3300. At first I figured maybe it had something to do with the AAR hangar but N751YX was on the ground for just over an hour before returning to CMH. Any idea what brought it over ?

3300 and 3301 are repositioning/ferry flight numbers on the United side, which 751YX is. No idea what it was doing there, though. It was operated under Part 91, but that's about all I know.

YQG is Windsor, YEG is Edmonton.

There is a fair sized MRO in YQG, so could very well be for MTC.

I ask out of ignorance, but is there any substantial maintenance that can be carried out in an hour’s time ? And if so would it really require flying across the border ?

It appears they brought back 750YX, so maintenance is possible, although I'm surprised we wouldn't be doing M/X in CMH.

Could be rotating aircraft in and out to fly off the green time.

Perhaps its a matter of YQG had the time available and/or the price was very right. Also maybe something the MRO in YQG is particularly good at? I know AC rotated all the MAXs in and out of YQG after the grounding for WiFi installs.
Cabin secure and doors checked

I believe AAR is doing heavy mx on the Republic (DLC) E175s. They regularly come in/out of YQG.

It was N751YX in as RPA3300 and N750YX out as RPA3301.

Republic Airways owned by
American, Delta, and United.

Wonder if Southwest will be in on this at some point?
Aesthetically the A 340 got it right!

They have been ferrying to YQG for months, for maintenance work. The border closures have made the logistics of getting crews over and back “interesting”. Same for the work being done in YRQ, in the center of the middle of nowhere Quebec.

YRQ has neat small restaurant / casse croûte, just by the tarmac... We fly there for those Sundays $150 breakfast... ($140 for the Avgas etc and $10 for the breakfast)

Used to fly there too for the same reason, at the same price, before I sold my plane.
