Looks like today's flight was cancelled, will likely be moved to DL9963 tomorrow (Monday, June 22).

It appears that my assumption was correct.

Yep it is a part-out and scrap as per Skyliner-aviation.de.

Not at all surprised IMHO - all 772As and 773As coming from Japan should have one fate only: facing the scrapman.

JetSuiteX ERJ-145 N246JX (ex N286SK) filed TYR-VCV 10AM - 10:48AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Anyone know if this is a charter, for maintenance and/or paint, or if this is a lease return/retirement?

I would say paint, conformity. This was one of the planes that flew for short lived California Pacific/ Aero Dynamics..But don't quote me its just a guess, as to the paint

Currently an undelivered 737MAX has its transponder on at VCV as BOE123. Strange that there's activity going on at 9:44PM local. That's pretty late.

In the background of several of these photos, a few important things can be seen. This photo was taken within the last week, as there is a SunExpress 737MAX9 that flew in on June 16. Besides showing photos of the grounded undelivered 737MAX, in the 5th photo, an over-view of the flight line can sort-of be seen. So far, it looks like the Eastern 772 is not out of paint yet, and the ecoDemonstrator 772 and FAM 788 are still at their respective parking spots. No unusual aircraft or movement can be confidently seen.

A slightly off-topic question (please point me to another thread that might answer it): how do airlines decide where to send their redundant aircraft? For example, BA sent my "pet" 744, G-BNLK, to RAF St. Athan in South Wales for scrapping but I've seen other examples elsewhere including VCV. I've always assumed, correctly or otherwise, that it was principally a matter of available space but do other factors play a part? TIA.

Most of the time if they are storing the aircraft (while retaining ownership) then I'd imagine they'd send it somewhere relatively close (with the cheapest parking rate) so they don't waste fuel/money parking it. If it's getting parted out or going to a new owner, then it will probably go to the highest bidder. For example, when Lufthansa decided to store their A340s, they sent them to Teruel. However, their MD-11Fs (which were going to Boeing) flew all the way to VCV.

The flight has now been cancelled.

Now clicking on the link it says that it's scheduled....I guess it got un-cancelled???

They keep changing their mind with this one. It didn't fly out yesterday, and now it's filed VCV-ATL 10AM - 5PM as DL9961 on Friday, June 26, 2020.

According to this tweet, a Singapore Airlines spokesperson stated that some of their A380 fleet would be stored in the US, and in the comments, Mainly Miles commented that the first would be going at the end of this month. Something to watch for......anyone have more details? I would imagine that it would be either VCV or GYR (they have both taken SQ aircraft before).

According to flightradar24 Crystal Cruises 777-200LR P4-XTL hasn't left SBD yet this Instagram post says that they're flying to China in P4-XTL which was 4 days ago...is P4-XTL now untrackable on flightradar24 too? Does anyone know if P4-XTL is still at SBD or if it has left already?

After getting fooled plenty of times by Air India Government 777-300ER VT-ALV, maybe now it's actually coming to SBD???? It's half-way across Arizona which is further than its usual 'test pattern.'
