Ethiopian 787-9 ET-AYC filed PAE-VCV 11AM - 1:02PM as BOE106 for storage.

Note that you can keep track of the 787s being stored at VCV on my spreadsheet, linked below.

SkyLease Cargo 747-400F N904AR transponder on at SBD, however it is parked outside (not in a hangar) in between Luxivair terminal and the unused passenger terminal, where SBD usually stores aircraft....doesn’t look like it’s at SBD for maintenance....

I'm not sure if parking location is very informative right now, simply because of how full the airport is at the moment - last time I was there, there was an Etihad 777-200LR (obviously not going anywhere) parked between a Delta 757 in the process of being reactivated with an APU test, and a 737-400 freighter that's reportedly due for delivery, all three of them lined up outside Unical. That said, I never did see anything on why the two Sky Lease 747s were there - normally there are some people in the cargo ops threads who have a pretty good idea of what the airline is up to.

I would appreciate if anyone could answer this very specific question: does anyone happen to know if Qantas 747 VH-OEJ will have her titles painted over in VCV or LAX?

Having personally visited Mojave, Palmdale, Victorville and San Bernardino recently, this topic thread has always been one of my favorites on A.net and its a definite go to thread every time for me. I am extremely grateful for the time and effort put in..However, lately it seems to be getting watered down with all the posting of future flight plans filed to and from the area. To me, it seems to be diminishing the importance of the topic especially as in some cases the listed flight never happens or is delayed by days.
Maybe once an aircraft has actually left the area or is en-route then a viable posting should be made?? Again just my thoughts...

Thank you for the compliments :)

That makes sense, I think that I'll stop posting the future flight plans for any Southwest/Delta aircraft out of VCV/SBD, however I think that flight plans for some aircraft (example: Air Europa 789 to VCV this morning) warrant posting when a flight plan is filed because it's rare and usually happens. Hopefully cutting down the Delta/Southwest posts will reduce the amount of clutter on this thread, I'm open to any suggestions if it's still too 'messy' after that.

I'm always open to suggestions to make my spreadsheet or this thread better, thanks for your feedback

Registration is N554WN. Note, from now on I will only be posting once the Delta or Southwest aircraft has taken off from VCV/SBD. However, for all other aircraft (Qantas, Boeing, etc) I will be posting once flight plans are filed.

Honestly, I subscribed to the topic because I enjoyed seeing the posts on aircraft leaving storage. A little bit of good news in an otherwise depressing forum now.

Maybe do a weekly summary of DL and WN returns to service? That would be nice to know.

Looks like it may have been sold. "Mexico’s government is considering a $120 million bid for a luxurious presidential jet after an unidentified prospective buyer offered to pay part in cash and part in medical equipment, a government official said on Monday." Non-traditional transaction but I guess the government will take what they can get. Full details in link below:

Qantas 747-400ER VH-OEJ filed LAX-MHV 9:30AM - 10AM as QF7474 on July 24. I have received reliable info that departure is delayed to 11AM due to celebrations at the Qantas hangar at LAX. There will also be a water cannon salute on departure out of LAX. I am planning to be at MHV for the final landing. For everyone spotting the Queen one last time: Please stay safe and try to social distance (although it will probably be impossible at LAX), California now has more COVID cases than any other state in the US so...... Side note: This is my 747th post ;)

Rumor is Mark Cuban made a bid. But would not explain flying back to MEX - unless it's for removal of proprietary/sensitive communications equipment et all.
