Lufthansa June International schedule

Sat May 23, 2020 10:05 pm

Hello Airliners.net,

LH announced the re-activation of 80 of their fleet for June 2020.

I was wondering if someone could provide a detailed list of their intended International Network outside Europe for June. Destinations, frequency and aircraft to be used on the routes.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

To date LH has only outlined its 01JUN-14JUN schedule, which sees some longhaul flying return, but 747-400, A340-600 and A380 fleets remain entirely grounded. Limited A333, A343, A359 and B748 flying.

Miami has also been added from July 1, 2020. 747-8i.

Where can I find a similar route schedule for UAL and DAL?

That list was based on the assumption countries may open up for international traffic. That certainly is not the case now.
For example - It lists FRA-BOM starting June 3rd but India is not opening the country to international traffic anytime soon. The best case scenario for India opening up is somewhere late July or early August.

The schedule has just not been updated yet. Wouldn’t count on MIA to be back in July...

It’s loaded in the system.

Again, LH Group adjusts their schedules pretty close-in. July is nowhere near definite. They are even showing 2x daily FRA-JFK on the 748, 2x daily FRA-LAX with the 748, even FRA-SAN is loaded...I can pretty much guarantee what's loaded now won't be what happens come July. The US hasn't given any indications they will remove their now-outdated ban on non-US citizen travel from the EU Schengen zone yet for example, and the EU hasn't given much of an indication when non-EU citizens will be able to travel to Europe again apart from the standard "no earlier than June 15".

Pardon my ignorance, but what is so special about Port Harcourt? Oil firms?

Seems like an unusual route to be flying during these times.

Yes, it's purely oil traffic.

What, no BOS...? Surprised that the West Coast operations LAX/SFO are not showing either.

Dont be so sure of BOM yet. Yeah, 3rd June seems optimistic but now that limited domestic travel has been started, international will follow soon. A 3x weekly A330 beginning sometime mid June doesn't seem too far fetched anymore. It will fit right into the gradual resumption of service to Europe and North America that will probably take place sometime in June or early July.

The minister for aviation has also said that they plan to have a significant number of international routes back by August, if not earlier. Let's see how it goes.

I'd be surprised to see GRU happen with the current situation in Brazil.

But GRU is already being served.
I don´t know with which frequency but I often see a 748 performing the LH506 flight on FR24.
