What a nice livery, it looks better in the SSJ than in their Airbii.

Very nice indeed. Are these new frames? Who owns/controls Red Wings these days? I thought they were merging with Nordavia.
Keep calm and wash your hands.

Russian airlines these days have such great liveries. New Aeroflot, Aurora, S7, Nordwind, Rossiya, and now this!

Amazing! How many airline beside BEA (red wings) and Balair CTA (yellow wings) had wings painted other colors than grey?

G-EUPJ springs to mind but can't think of any others!

Although not the wings, the final bmi livery had red horizontal stabilizers.

Anyone know if all of these will be based in Moscow or will they use them to link secondary Russian cities?

Transbrasil used to have colored wings. Each aircraft had a different color.

Awesome scheme! For how long did they retire it? How many planes are planned to be re-introduced?

Interjet now isn't the only one reintroducing the type!

The SSJ looks dated without the saberlets.....later frame delivered to Severstal has those..... :knockout:

Apply a spiffy wingtip scheme on the saberlets and it would be a knockout! Alas, the engines are still too skinny compared to the body.

Pretty cool looking livery! Is there a rule that the registration on the wings has to be on grey background? That part looks a little odd.

I remember America West had their CRJs with teal painted wings.

New vs old for comparison. To me, the SSJ looks good in either livery

Looks a lot like Air Berlin to me... except with 2 guitar picks for a logo. Or maybe snake fangs.

I really feel like the right guitar pick needs to overlap the left one to form a "W." Left overlapping right doesn't look like a letter to me.

Red Wings old livery is very nice, but it looks much better on the T204. Oddly enough neither the old nor new livery looks that good on the Airbii, but the new one is definitely amazing on the SSJ, previous one looked pretty cramped.

Air Wings took some of the terrible teens airframes that were known as "Aeroflot Light", which were somewhat overweight and lacked some other features of the newer ones. IIRC they took five but only operated three, Air Wings is mostly a charter airline so they did not make money flying the winter schedule with the SSJ100, so they decided it was better to not fly at all. That and of course the multiple problems SCAC and Powerjet had back then with spares and faulty engines. Nowadays, Red Wings will be used as the airline selected to develop the Russian Far East network, so they will take 60 SSJs to make that happen. Oddly enough, no contract has been formally signed yet, but since Red Wings is now almost fully owned by UAC this is only anecdotical.

Livery is not new. The A321s have been like it for age. The actual red wings are new though.

Very sharp, wish we could see the winglets. It’s a cute sleek jet.

I really like the looks of the SSJ, especially in this look. It is a shame that it was not particularly successful aircraft.

The skinny engines make it look kind of like a latter-day reinvention of the 737-200. I'm okay with that.

Yeah. It's odd to see such small engines on a newer generation aircraft.

But yes, a very nice livery.
