Airbus slashing 10% of its Workforce

Despite a possible reentering into production of the Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus has announced today the reduction of 10% of its workforce, equivalent to 11,000 jobs.The main factors behind this decision are a 40% reduction in demand and an expected return of demand for air travel not sooner than 2025. The vast majority of cuts will happen in France (5,000 heads) and Germany (5,100 heads), for an expected completion of summer 2021. ... index.html ... ed-737-max
