Dont feel bad. The Qatari royals still have 2 other 747-8i BBJ in their fleet in addition to their other aircraft

You can get that back by spritzing a little formaldehyde into the cabin.

Lift is UK-speak for elevator.

Yes, I get that, thanks.
I meant: does that mean some aircraft have an in-built lift that can go all the way to the apron?

Or maybe the Qataris are in deep sh*t because of the current situation

Not to worry, we'd arrange with Messrs Ballmer and Kroenke for a spot to park the 748i next to the arena and stadium - to attract big sports fans, Hollywood types and rock stars!

really makes you think how the sands’ vip aircraft are. are the two SP not losing cash now, especially with crippled tourism in the casinos they own?

Likely reason could be the older birds wouldn't attract as much interest and generate substantial proceeds (besides needing a few for the lesser princes). But maybe (just maybe) the oil rich state now realizes that operating three opulent VLAs (in addition to the others) at the same time is not very prudent (does the word exist in their vocabulary)? And perhaps the combined pressures of the pandemic and embargo are finally taking their toll

Apron lift has multiple meanings, in my twisted world anyways...
1) A strange & secret ritual practised by Freemasons

2) Cosmetic surgery for when the beer-belly is so gross it gets in the way of your.....
3) A kind of dumb-waiter for aircraft, possibly to deliver food for the galley, and/or carry an infirm or immobile passenger, but in this particular case configured to reach ground level (Speiseaufzug)
