Are we sure that is a runway excursion? Looks like they misjudged the width of the taxiway while turning and didn't oversteer enough?

With the curve in the "runway" that great I'm surprised it hasn't happened many times before

And it is on the FO's side, so harder for the captain to see that side. Especially if it was raining and the visibility on that side wasn't terrific.

I saw this airplane pull into MIA the next day so it looks like everything got resolved fairly quickly.

Forget oversteer ! The nosewheel isn't even on the yellow taxiway centerline. The pilots didnt even steer properly, much let oversteer ! Visibility could have been an issue, if it was raining.
us Air Traffic Controllers have a good record, we haven't left one up there yet !!

Just had an FA who was working this flight onboard. She said it was heavy rain and they made their turnoff a bit too fast and ended up sliding off the taxiway.

"made their turnoff a bit too fast" ????

Unlikely judging the photos.
If you´re too fast in a right turn it´s unlikely you end up with just the right hand main gear to the right off the taxiway - even if skidding (including nose gear) due to aquaplaning ...
Flying is not inherently dangerous but it is very unforgiving in case of carelessness, incapacity or neglect.

I’m just telling you what she told me. She was the one working the flight. She said it was raining and as they turned off they were traveling a bit too fast and slid off the taxiway. It’s not improbable if that’s what you’re somehow getting at.....
