Possibly switching some 787-10s to 777Fs

Could be more 787-9s or 77X. I think BR needs a smaller longer haul plane to fly thinner trans pacific routes or add frequency in North America since currently they only have the larger 77W. They only have four 789s. It may help on their EU or Australia routes too. Also, they have no 77W replacement yet either.

Their 78X is unnecessary as they currently use many 77W for their intra Asia flights to increase utilization and carry cargo. They don’t seem to really need that many large regional flying jets

From what I heard, 7 (of 24 originally planned) 787-10 orders are being converted to 4 787-9 and 3 777F orders instead.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world
The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings
The heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own

Is this still part of an expansion? Or replacement?

Figured they'd defer some deliveries given the situation. Their 77W and a333 fleet isn't that old.

yes this is what has been disclosed too in the ch aviation article

good smart commercial move undertaken by BR management especially with the order for 3 incremental B77Fs.
