I guess FR is the next shoe to fall, but that awaits certification of the 737-8200.

I suspect the UK media swarm will try to make a stir.

Presuming that at best has a temporary impact, I think we can say MAX RTS has been a success.

While LOT moved the 2 of 5 Maxes from Lublin to Warsaw, and the other 3 will fly to WAW by end of March. All will get a C-check at LOTAMS in Warsaw. So I’m guessing at earliest it will be beginning of April before they fly with LOT? Is LOT the only airline doing C-checks, and are they really necessary?

I tried to read up about it but found nowhere it says anything about a C check. I didn’t read anyone else mentioning it here.

Aren’t the C checks a requirement for RTS after storage? All stored flydubai’s MAX aircraft will undergo a C check too.

Do we have any nuts and bolts details of the modifications required to return these aircraft to service?

When I look into FR24 in the night time or early morning I see no red eye operations in the US, while the Canadian and Mexican airplanes are already on their ways. The first MAX aircraft (most of them AA) appears just after sunrise in the eastern US day by day so far. So is there any night time restrictions in place for the MAX in the US?

AA has a red eye 737 MAX flight, SAN-MIA, leaving SAN at 11PM PT and arriving at 6:43 AM ET the next day,

FAA certifies Boeing 737 MAX 8200 (high density 200 seat). EASA says it will certify soon. This is the high density 8MAX ordered by Ryanair and Viejet...

https://www.aerotime.aero/27594-faa-cer ... 37max-8200

I don't know if any of those have been built yet for Ryanair or VietJet, nor when they will start receiving them.. Regardless, it's good news for the MAX program.

Many have been built. They have even started customer flights

Did the FlyDubai MAX 9s ever enter service before the grounding? I know they had them before I don’t think they ever did

Yes but only -FNB and -FNC. FNA was supposed to ferry to DXB just days before the grounding and returned to GSO in the States where she still is. The other 2 entered commercial service in FEB and MAR and flew to Kuwait, Zanzibar, Dar Es Salaam, Bahrain, Muscat, Tashkent and Bucharest.

In a similar stance to Vietnam, India's DGCA has authorized the 737 MAX to overfly its territory.

Furthermore, the agency will issue "special flight permits" to allow lessors to fly their MAXes out of India for storage or maintenance/refurbish reasons:

What’s the hold up on the DGCA lifting its ban?

I'll give you ten guesses, but you'll probably only need one or two.

This is just the formalisation of the grounding that have taken place since early April for the affected frames. It also means that the planes will be ungrounded shortly.

This AD means it is now on official government authority level before it was on internal manufacturers level only.

Why isn't the 737Max flying in China?

Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:41 pm

It is now June of 2021 and I noticed that the 737Max is *still* not flying in China. Why is this?
I think it is purely political. The Chinese gov't by keeping the Max grounded there is arbitrarily casting doubt on the aircraft's reputation.
Which is, of course, in the CCP's interest.
The plane has been flying for months now with no issues. What gives?

Why do you ask when you know the answer?

The Chinese authorities are always late to accept the EASA and FAA certification and only do it after a long burocratic process of verification.

After the unmitigated disaster of the FAA certification of the 737MAX and the denial of any problems following the two accidents, I find it not astonishing that some authorities are still gun-shy.

As it is the delay does not seem excessive compared to the usual timeline the Chinese seem to work by.
