Seems like AS exercised options for another 12 Max 9.

Many deliveries for them over the next few years.

Russia's Podeba scrapped 20 B737MAX lease

https://www.scramble.nl/civil-news/pobe ... 7cXnbK0mSo

Reason: According to the press-release the airline could back out of the agreements without penalty due to the delayed delivery of the aircraft and the B737MAX not being recertified in Russia yet.

Fifteen would be leased through SMBC, the remaining five via GECAS.

Not sure if those frames will be reallocated to other customer or scrapped entirely.

I'm hoping you're not seriously suggesting that lessors would scrap 20 aircraft costing $millions of dollars just because Russia is dragging its feet on un-grounding the type.

He is talking about the leasing companies cancelling their order, not literally scrapping brand new planes.

I’m sure Boeing will find new customers for those slots as air travel continues to recover slowly

Most of these slots will have evaporated because of the production rate cuts anyway. This is why we have seen so many cancellations of leasing companies, these were mostly slots that where never built because the customers delayed the deliveries or pulled out completely. All the issues resulting in the production cuts forced Boeing to be flexible with these contracts.

I had 13 line number and msn allocations for GECAS and SMBC for Pobeda between the early 7900s and mid 8200s. All had been deleted by March this year and were relisted back to Boeing ownership.

Boeing has swapped out parts on MAX aircraft, mixing liveries. But still could be a future AS bird.

It's an ALC frame. There was a PR that AS was taking ALC frames. It's going to AS along with some others.

Expects to have the 737MAX up by September end.
Guessing their stored aircrafts at SEA will start clearing out. Does anyone have an idea how many are in storage across US?

I hadn't really had a chance to look at the pics of this, the size looks "right" I hope this is a success for Boeing, tho I know the A321 is still eating its lunch and kicking it while its down lol.

9H-VUL seems to be a Malta Air bird in Ryan colours instead Malta Air. Interesting.

That is the 2nd Ryranair frame to rollout of final assembly and get painted with Maltese registration.

7926 was re-coded with a Maltese Hex Code and the registration of EI-HGI covered with a sticker for its first flight.

Another early build frame 7534, has been spotted at BFI with Maltese registration 9H-VUG.

Looks like Ryanair is shuffling frames over to Malta and not repainting them.

how about the MAX 7? Any news

I’m wondering the same thing.
WN new CEO Bob Jordan just said last week they are looking to now take 114 New MAX7/MAX8 aircraft next year.

Anyone know the status of
The certification?
Or the proposed WN delivery schedule.

Thanks

The MAX10 is subject to the cockpit / pilot workoad review criteria.... whereas 7, 8 and 9 are grandfathered, correct? Has anyone heard what specifically FAA will require of Boeing for the cockpit? Sorry, if this is answered in a MAX10 development or test thread.... I can't find any such thread (tried a variety of search terms).

https://www.flightglobal.com/safety/boe ... 49.article is the best article I know of about such things. It does talk about a review of the 737 MAX alerting system to be held within one year of MAX RTS, but does not say if any findings of such a review will impact just the -10 or all family members. I'd say we need to wait for that review to be finished. Since MAX-10 EIS was slipped for 2 years, its impact will be known before MAX-10 EIS.

Thanks Rev. It had slipped my mind that MAX10 EIS has slipped 2 years. That might suggest a number of changes. With MAX7 not certified yet, I'm surprised that agencies (FAA/EASA) are not requiring it to meet the same criteria as the MAX10 prior to it's EIS (yeah that would annoy carriers who have ordered it, but there aren't that many outside of WN). I don't think any MAX7's have sold within EASA's jurisdiction, so perhaps they've punted on passing any judgement prior to it's EIS...

Is there a thread here on A.NET that is specific to the MAX10 development? I can't find it.
