In reply to Flyguy (post #798), I can't answer your question about the certification but may be able to help with the proposed WN delivery schedule.
In a previous post (#708) I gave links to some documents lodged by Southwest Airlines with the SEC. They are copies of the agreements with Boeing for the deliveries of MAX 7 & 8 aircraft & contain a list of delivery dates together with the serial number of the aircraft to be delivered that month.
Proposed delivery dates extend from January 2022 (s/n 42586 - 42589) up to October 2031 & there are over 300 aircraft listed by their serial numbers. Most are in Supplemental Agreement No. 14 with some alterations & an additional 14 more serial numbers (s/n 67205-67218) in Supplemental Agreement No. 15.
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data ... alagre.htmhttps://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data ... alagre.htmYou need to scroll down to the bottom of each agreement to find the tables listing the details. Unfortunately, a lot of information is still missing as the documents have been heavily redacted.
Of course all this can change in the future but in the meantime, if the Good Lord is willing & the FAA comes to the party, this is how deliveries will go.
