If EK maintains their price edge over those airlines that already rolled out Y+ products (as they usually do in Y and J), they may hit a sweet spot in the market that is likely to expand at the expenses of J-class, in the post-Covid world.

Well done EK , this is a game changer ...

PE has been around for 25 years. How is this a game changer?

I think the “hate” is mainly because Emirates hinted at something industry changing, and then unveiled an off-the-shelf seat used by several other airlines covered in cream leather with some wood trim around the windows. People were expecting something they hadn’t seen before. Whether that’s to your taste or not is a matter for the individual... but the fact remains Emirates are very late to the Premium Economy party and nothing in this product appears to be disruptive to the offerings from the major worldwide airlines.

That's not much of a statement. Eurobusiness is just economy with a snack a few inches more pitch.

My main concerns would be how well it will wear in service with those very light colours once kids with pens, and adults with red wine and coffee get into it!
