They don't seem to be that popular on A.Net, but I love them! In fact, I wish they would add a Gonzaga one. Sadly, I'm sure the fact that it's a private school will keep them from doing that, no matter how popular the school is in Spokane.

Only 3 of the liveries, UW, OSU, and Boise State are on owned aircraft so potentially only 3 will remain after 2023 when the 7 leased Qs are scheduled to be returned. This is a pipe dream but I would hope that the tired worn out burgundy seat covers would at some point be replaced during heavy maintenance. Unfortunately don't think that is in the budget.

OSU should be next for a repaint. N440QX is currently in Sault Ste Marie for heavy maintenance. If it is going for paint it should fly CYAM-KFAR-KGEG. If not it will fly CYAM-KBIL-KPDX.

Well here is the story on why 435 was refreshed. Apparently in dedication to Brad Tilden. So not sure if they are going to keep the rest or what the long term plan is.

I wonder if this will end up in a OW scheme.

Everyone has probably already seen this by now, but this did end up in the OW scheme which will probably be fully unveiled tomorrow.

Does anyone have any idea what the process is for adding the "oneworld" sticker onto the frames and how quickly this can be done?

Was not a big fan of it when I first saw it. I get that it is a standard scheme that the alliance puts out but is seems a little off. The alaska title seems a little ghosted. Some of the other OW schemes seem to keep more of the carrier lettering in their house colors a la Finnair

I think the way AS incorporated the OW livery looks great. Looks far less bland than some other OW liveries.

I spent about 12 hours at SeaTac spotting yesterday. It was hit or miss on planes having them. But I did shoot at least one of every type with it on. It seemed at times most all had it. Other times you didn’t see any on a few. But I’d imagine by the end to the week they will all have them.

Could that be oneworld 2. AS said they would have 3 OW liveries by summer.

They never specified types though. When is the next MAX due? Could have one of those painted up. I’m assuming it’ll be an etops bird.

Nice looking bird! I really like the grey wordmark on the black tail!

That thing is going to be a pain to cool though, so keep it out of PHX and LAX!

Was trying to figure out why the first flight was AS3/4, not a typical flight west coast flight. It makes sense now, UNCF is headquarter in Washington DC.

Maybe that'll be the next OW plane. I would be interested to see what paint job it gets. I'm still holding out for a Kraken airplane.

I asked the question of whether AS will start selling connections onto transpacific flights such as AA SEA-BLR/PVG, JL SEA-NRT, or JL SFO-NRT/HND from AS flights on the alaskaair.com website in a discussion in the Travel, Polls, & Preferences forum at viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1460163, but didn't get any responses.

It also probably makes sense for AS to start selling AA/JL transpacific flights through the alaskaair.com website with the FF base that AS has in the Pacific Northwest, California, and Montana.

I would think they will once trans pac returns as they did sell some QF SFO-SYD in the past so it shouldn't be too hard to redo.

Now, if my list is correct, the only old colors remaining are five 737-800s.

Hi all,
Quick question to those more knowledgeable than me,
Will the salmon thirty salmon (N559AS) be repainted or has it already been? it seems to still use the old logo font.

I know that N559AS has not been painted considering they used the airplane to bring the first round of Copper River Sockeye salmon from Cordova, AK about a week ago. I believe they either "touch-up" the current airplane to add the new "Alaska" titles or there will be a new airplane with the Salmon c/s.

Any word on if it comes back in new disney paint or as a standard livery. Guess it could also be a new sticker job as that seems to be the favor de jour at AS currently.

Does anyone know when 559 or 560 will be painted? I have a feeling at least Salmon Thirty Salmon will be repainted on a MAX. Seems like when the specialty planes (Salmon Thirty Salmon being the exception) are due for paint, they either gone for good, or get repainted onto another 737 variant.
