If it’s on Facebook already I don’t think it’s a huge deal.

And how do you suppose that info made it to Facebook?

I’m just saying, upthread we had people who appeared to have access to internal bids sharing specifics. And I didn’t report anything. But I know it’s not uncommon for employees to receive a phone call from headquarters after posting here so just a reminder people need to be careful.

A lot of Flight attendants and Pilots use FB for trip trade groups. Theold rule has been just make sure you for safety precautions blackout Crew hotel and other's information. No Body expected to see LAX,PHX or LAS in their Bid package since Etops certification hasn't happened yet. So I don't think it was a matter of spilling the beans to beat anyone to the punch just more like Everyone got super excited because MORE Hawaiian overnights were coming.
Hawaii been a huge what if pipe dream for the last 40 yrs at WN. I don't blame ANYONE at WN for being excited 8 months ago it was all the talk Parked planes,Furloughs,Pay cuts and fellow employees that lost their life to Covid. So in my view it would be very poorly received by the entire work groups if WN went on a firing or disciplinary actions against everyone that share information out of excitement after such a year of Loss and pain.

I’m seeing lots of talk in the Alaska thread about what if WN starts Hawaii flights to BLI when they finally add flights there I think I remember Someone said that could be a possibility along with the other small cities at some point ?

I honestly think BLI is going to be bigger than most that have shared their speculations with me .
Many think BLI is going to be around the size of EUG or FAT. But if you take in the market cap of Vancouver BC alone it's 10 times the size.
Will WN do Hawaii from BLI ? I honestly could see at least a daily.
Using a MAX8E with something like LAS-BLI-HNL-BLI-LAS connection to the other islands via HNL.
The big question is will WN cost be low enough to compete against WestJet.
I'm sure ionce WN starts BLI-HNL. PAE-Hawaii by AlaskaAir will not be for behind.

How many flights you thinking BLI is getting I hope they do that and maybe add GEG and BOI I think those would be less then daily but they could also take away from Alaska connecting all there passengers from there to PDX and SEA. I think most likely right about PAE-Hawaii being started by Alaska if WN starts BLI-HNL.

Why do you say N8703J is ntu and not entering service. It was just recently painted in SWA colors and is sitting on the KBFI flight line.

That's the rumor GK and other leaders are holding a live special Virtual WN 2021 battle plan update.
Conveniently at 13:00 Herb/CST aka 08:00 HST.
And if rumors are true at 08:08 HST (808 is the Hawaii area code) the new flights and fares will go on sale today.
I personally have my Rapid rewards points and Rapid rewards CC ready!

Well will today be the big reveal of the Hawaii expansion and additional Summer flying?

Hawaii rumors have one daily each for BUR/ONT/PDX-HNL being added in July.
Another source says SEA-HNL also but I don't think WN going into that lions den.

Early this morning on Southwest.com my better half got up to see if WN dropped the Hawaii flights under the cover of Darkness. Using MDW as starting point it kept just popping up Service in unavailable between MDW-and Hawaii with a connection.
But at 09:00 CST we did refreshed on the same dates and now it's showing same day connections available but not on that new flights as of yet.
Positive signs!

Why do you say N8703J is ntu and not entering service. It was just recently painted in SWA colors and is sitting on the KBFI flight line.

It was mentioned elsewhere on here that it was damaged during testing. However that could be only a rumor. If anyone has anymore info, that would be great.

WN revolves around more than just Hawaii. Relax. If something gets announced, it will get announced.

So now it'll nonchalantly be Thursday morning after stringing this entire thread along for weeks that it'd be today?

It's definitely not what Anything that This groups was expecting. "Battle Plan" yet the topic is just about diversity. Which is great but definitely not worth a Virtual event in everyone's view. I'm turning out because I think the mystery answer is Nothing.

Best joke I just heard in this watch group was someone said they will probably tell us We're getting a New technology upgrade with a new SWAlife platform. But still can't sale international tickets outside the US boarders.. hahahahaha

Some else said nobody on the panel except maybe Bob Jordan would probably be high enough on the food chain to make the announcement.

Trying to Enjoy but right now Don't want to anymore.

The way this virtual Battle Plan is going I'm
Definitely not holding my breath.
But everything that was blowing up Social Media this week with the crew Bids showing new nonstop,Etops certification flight with some union pages saying we passed the certification process.
So with the Monday battle plan update
Everyone kept saying Monday Monday Monday.
This was across a lot of channels.

I think this is the biggest recurring problem around here, expecting these announcements to coincide with a big event or a meaningful time and date (8:08am local?). Sure the original Hawaii intentions were announced at a Spirit Party but the number of times they over promised and underdelivered because of unforeseen delays they aren’t going to say anything until they have everything in order. And once they’re good to go I don’t think they’ll sit on it and wait for a meaningful event.

Just my opinion.

WN adding ITO-OAK, ITO-SAN, or ITO-LAS nonstop service might be a possibility with the easier connectivity that would be there to ITO from the contiguous U.S. if WN adds at least one of those routes. There are also some resorts and vacation rental homes near ITO airport to support WN nonstop service to ITO from the contiguous U.S.

In addition to resorts and vacation rental homes that are near ITO on the eastern side of the island of Hawaii, ITO is also near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The Florida Panhandle has seen significantly expanded commercial air service by AA, UA, WN, F9, G4, and NK in the last 11 years, and WN, AA, DL, and AS might have similar expansion opportunities at ITO with the stimulation in tourism that would be there to the eastern part of the island of Hawaii if any of these airlines add nonstop service to ITO from the contiguous U.S.

No, nobody outside of HQ knows for sure. Only those involved with the program as well as those in the general office are privy to that information. There is no source to look that information up. Enthusiasts as well as employees find out when it's officially announced by WN and that will happen on their time table.

That is a fair assessment. No one but GK and the team knows the full story yet. We all know it's going to happen, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

There been speculation that ITO will see it's only daily mainland flight ITO-LAS-ITO coming in July.

Apparently, WN will be hiring Flight Attendants that live in California. My friend sent this to me this morning.

"We’re preparing to post the Flight Attendant position externally on Southwest Careers, and we want you to be among the first to know! The Flight Attendant position opens to external applicants who reside in the state of California only, on Thursday, May 13, at noon CDT. External applicants interested in the position must apply directly through Careers.Southwestair.com."

It is happening, for sure. WN's pattern of announcing "new / expanded" flying on Thursdays will be in effect this week. It'll all be known by tomorrow a.m.

It is happening, for sure. WN's pattern of announcing "new / expanded" flying on Thursdays will be in effect this week. It'll all be known by tomorrow a.m.

That's what I'm hearing also.
But I'm not going to get all hyped.
One source said the schedule should start to update between 03:00-05:00 HERB. PN news wire press release around 06:00-08:00 Herb

High hopes I'm putting on the alarm,Coffee and will have my RR points and credit card ready.

Hopefully this Early Bird can get the worm.

For silky fun
July should have ONT,BUR,PDX-HNL and ITO-LAS added also.

I would suspect that those would be year-round routes if announced.

At this point, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not going to get excited until it's officially announced.
