On social media last week the airport posted a few images of the expansion. Architect CSHQA also posted on their social media that design plans are now 100% complete.
CSHQA also posted 7 images on its website providing a larger look at the new concourse design. With these images, I did notice a few changes from floor plans in earlier documents. The web page also has some descriptive verbiage.
http://www.cshqa.com/projects/fresno-yosemite-international-airport-fat-terminal-expansion/The narrative at the link above does confirm the FIS is designed to process 400 passengers/hour. Basically 2 aircraft each hour. That provides capacity for future international flight growth and more international schedule flexibility (less staggering of arrival times or needing to hold passengers on aircraft/buses).
The airside exterior of the new concourse B has been kept simple. No fancy roofline or extra exterior design materials.
http://www.cshqa.com/content/uploads/2021/08/Exterior-Rendering.jpgThe interior design colors and materials are supposed to reflect both the Sierra parks and the San Joaquin Valley. Use of the design colors and materials is shown in the other images.
http://www.cshqa.com/content/uploads/2021/08/materials-and-color-1.jpgThe expanded security screening area opens to a large composure area then a corridor with flight information screens. The floor design is supposed to reflect the San Joaquin River and carries throughout the new concourse.

Earlier floor plans had concession areas directly across from the composure area. Now plans show electrical/mechanical rooms. In the future lower concourse rebuild that new infrastructure placement may make it more difficult to simplify movement toward the A gates.
Also passengers need to determine the direction to the A and B gates after exiting screening (especially since the A corridor is around a corner). An additional sign over the flight screens indicating directions for A and B gates would be more intuitive to infrequent travelers/visitors/tourists. Instead of looking to the left and right for gate direction signs, passengers could move out of that mixing area a few seconds faster.
The corridor between the Concourse B escalators/elevator to the hold rooms is simple. It continues the river floor design. I like the large amount of glass, a better experience compared to the current windowless Concourse A corridor.

http://www.cshqa.com/content/uploads/2021/08/Concourse-B.jpgThe last image is of the B gates restroom entryways. In earlier floor plans these restrooms were on the airside of the building between the B1 gate and new concessions. Now they are opposite gate B1. I wonder if the new restroom placement resulted in adding space to the concession area.
http://www.cshqa.com/content/uploads/2021/08/bathroom-entry.jpgOverall I think they are good designs. I do hope thought was given to things like utilities (water/sewer/etc) to allow for the extension of B, sometimes designs complicate future expansion. My opinion is the airport will continue with a high growth rate for the next few years and need another addition within a decade.
