I can tell you that this will be much higher (high 80's) Have done this flight 2x in June and 2x July and just a smattering of empty seats.

I never thought PNS year round would work. Panhandle is not beach weather in the winter. LAX flight moves to 9:50pm in Nov and that seems likely to hurt the load factor.
I thought the original daily seemed very optimistic. I thought 2x a week might work. G4 makes it work year round.

Basically said it was because of the Cape pairing with AA. Air Choice not having a codeshare/interline is going to run them out of business.
Air Choice down to Jonesboro only now.

It would have to be the AA MD80's for Mainline.
I assume they operated STL-LGA with the MD80 until the closure of the STL Pilot Base in 2017?
I'd have to do some research...
The only downside of going from E175 to Airbus A319 is the loss of First Class Seats which I assume is an indication of lack of Business Travel perhaps?
Happy to see it but why.....

I started keeping track nov 2017. Been all RJ since at least then.
They are going from
Oct
1x175
1x170
To
Nov
3x175
2xA319
So that’s a lot more seats first and everything else.

11/2013 the route transitioned to MQ CR7s then YX E75s in mid-2014

Thanks! Seemed much closer then that.
Had thought since STL Pilot Base was still around , mainline had to be on that route.
I last flew it on an MD80 with AA, STL-LGA.

FLL is now also.
So Oct is only MCO/LAS on Tuesday/Wednesday

That new NK add can't come fast enough for PHX haha. Maybe AA is successfully bumping NK out of the market at FLL and LAX

Everyone else is adding destinations for the most part except Delta, which is removing them.

I don't really think there's a boat for Delta to miss at STL. If they add LAX, SEA, or BOS, it's going to be about the customer base and connectivity at those hubs, not about attracting passengers at STL, which will remain a spoke for them. Delta isn't flying BOS-ORD because they plan a hub or focus city at ORD.
Jshank83 wrote:I would be happy to fly them to LAX/BOS if they offered those flights. While WN was offering $175+ one ways to BOS they could have started nonstops and competed on that route. There was plenty of business travel that would have taken them up on it, but now that AA is offering it, I can't see the point of Delta adding it.
As they sit around and don't add anything while others are, I am moving my allegiances other places... like AA which I thought I would never do because they offer better flight options.
By missing the boat, I think Delta had a chance to make some inroads here pre-covid, they chose not to and now that chance in my mind is gone since other airlines have expanded recently. Not saying they would have any big kind of operation but I think t hey could have offered flights to other hubs/focus cities and done pretty well.

They can't be everything to everyone, everywhere. They walked away from established hubs at both CVG and MEM in the past decade. Sure, they'd probably pick up some customers from STL by adding more non-stop markets, but you could say that about practically every spoke market they serve. And pretty much anything they'd be likely to add from STL has non-stop service from WN already -- and it's tough to peel away loyalty when the competition flies 50 or so markets non-stop.

Do you think the recent AA resumptions at STL (AUS, BOS) are more about STL; or AUS (where AA has been adding a bunch of new routes) and BOS (where AA has entered into an alliance with B6)? I would wager it is the latter two.
