Not all frames will be 1/1 replaced with Neo’s.

Would be interesting to see what frames will feature a star alliance livery in the future.

According to their website, booking only possible on the direct flight from 31OCT21. Before that date, only EWR with UA and via ZRH with LX.

Thanks for that. Yes, I meant LX. Wasn't so much interested in the UA service resuming. Hopefully the LX route does return.

This is not a scheduled but an adhoc charter flight. WK operated ZRH/GVA/GOA a few days ago, returning from GOA to ZRH as a ferry flight. Obviously the charter group is returning to GVA today and the flight will ferry back to ZRH unless the passanger load is split between GVA and ZRH bound passengers.

Is it already known which 5 these will be?

To be honest, I‘m quite positive the previous decision regarding early phase-out of A330s is or will be reviewed. It all depends when the US will open the borders for vaccinated travellers from Europe. Demand will then sure pick up as well for LX. That‘s when you need the 330s all of the sudden again….
I say miscalculation from the management board thus no decision/communication as of now

These were very recent IGW models, with a much brighter future ahead in terms of economics and performance than the much older ex-LX A340s.
Once again Carsten tried and did everything to favor its little child Eurowings. We witnessed the same situation with Brussels Airlines...
BTW, are all the LX/WK A340s leased or owned ?
DALCE wrote:Not true, the 340’s give flexibility in the network, and Edelweiss does not need 6 widebodies at the moment. During peaks, they are leasing in 777’s from LX. This autumn 777 do runs to MRU,HER,LCA etc.

Any idea of when WK's flights to MRU will be operated by the B777?
RvA wrote:“Would” = definitively.
Sam Chui is not a very good source I would say. But it does make sense however. F on their entire fleet, LX needs a next gen aircraft versatile and able to handle F plus maintaining good cargo capability.
A350 fits better than the 789 I would say at LX.

And what other routing do they have serving 2 destinations?
