Anyway, November 1st first departure for start up GREEN AIRLINES. Happy Landings!

Start for Green Airlines postponed due to the domestic "lockdown light"...

Faced with dwindling passengers numbers, starting from 01.12.2020, Munich airport will be closing down Terminal 1 until further notice.

In November 2020, airport handles around 10.000 passengers a day, down from 120.000 a year ago.

Other airports around Europe are also making similar moves. Barcelona will be closing down T2 in december and moving all opertions to T1.

So far route pairs below remain unavailable for booking with Lufthansa:

Frankfurt – Addis Ababa
Frankfurt – Panama City
Munich – Mexico City
Munich – Sao Paulo Guarulhos

I wouldn't be surprised if none of these are operated next summer.

There are no flights to STR scheduled so far.

Eurowings will boost their DTM-base by adding a second plane and introducing the following new routes:

DTM-HER 3/7 (direct competitors: Wizz Air 3/7, Sky Express 2/7)
DTM-CTA 3/7 (direct competitors: Wizz Air 2/7)
DTM-ALC 2/7
DTM-NAP 2/7 (dropped by Wizz Air)
DTM-AGP 2/7 (dropped by Ryanair)
DTM-KVA 2/7 (indirect competitors: Ryanair 2/7 to SKG, Wizz Air 3/7 SKG)

Another new route is going to be announced soon. There are rumors saying EW will base a third aircraft as well. The current schedule would need some changes or cuts to be operated by only two aircraft, so maybe we'll see them basing a third A319. Both Eurowings and the airport haven't yet confirmed the expansion, but most flights are already bookable.

Interesting and thanks for sharing. And for what it is worth, I am going to trust your information, even without any second grade local DTM journalist picking up the story providing "evidence"...

I guess that would be the Eurowings booking engine where most of the routes are already bookable https://www.eurowings.com/de.html . If that isn't counting it's quite hard to share unofficial information before everybody knows them because those are still insider information and like I said, the official announcement is still pending.

The DTM-KVA is a totally different ballgame than the DTM-SKG flights to be considered indirect competition..The first is summer only for the beaches of Thassos island and Kavala region..The latter is year-round ethnic/VFR traffic of northerngreek immigrants plus serves holidaymakers who visit Halkidiki peninsula and its beach resorts along with Katerini,Pieria region and its beaches, archeological treasures of royal tombs (King Philip's, father of Alexander theGreat) and Mt.Olympus climbers, trekkers etc..

From next month, Eurowings will take over Linz-Dusseldorf from Austrian Airlines. Initially the route will operate two times per week. As for Linz-Frankfurt, negotiations are still ongoing. Before covid, OS used to have up to three flights a day.

Meanwhile in Munich, Lufthansa has no plans to restore summer flights from MUC to Zagreb, Ljubljana and Sarajevo. Belgrade is scheduled to resume at the end of the month, three times per week.

Currently situation at CGN airport. Any insights?

I think it is an taxiway obstruction.

On FR24, 5X227 has been standing there for an hour and now three planes can’t make it to terminal.

TK7924 took another runway exit and is at the terminal.
