I feel things will change for the better. RDU has always been a 50/50 business/leisure market. The leisure market is driving everything right now. Business markets will rebound but not soon. But it will and that’s when it will be interesting to see what happens. Who will be the leader and who will not is a big question. RDU hasn’t take off like other airports with expanded service (except the B6 experiment). But service will rebound and business travel will rebound. Just give it time. Destinations will return.

Looks like RDU-CDG is getting pushed back yet again.

The international market for RDU, outside of Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.. will be too low for O&D service. It will take a year or so to rebound enough. But people in the triangle will wanna travel. But they will go South and West.. and a little North.. but not as much East right now

The final airline club reopened.. United has opened its Club back up to RDU passengers. Now, I still wonder what was the original thinking behind the rDU club. Was it really for United, or was it preemptive for an international route from a partner airline. Oh well.

It’s a shame that WN doesn’t add more routes out of RDU. It’s been pretty much stagnant since before the Covid situation started whereas most of their other stations have grown. Pity.

Pretty impressive numbers, I didn't realize they served so many destinations out of RDU. Having a terminal mostly to themselves must help.

Raleigh got busy enough today that they finally had to reopen Economy 4 , albeit briefly.
This is my choice lot, but I haven't flown in 2 years.

Nice add. Am still waiting on WestJet, Aeromexico, and Lufthansa (or Lufthansa affiliate). United did not add a lounge at RDU for nothing. And DL presence here should be good enough for some of it's business partners. I'm just so at a lost as to why RDU is being, well, kinda stagnant.

But this is great to have a new airline and to a new destination. Great add.

But now, the people need to use it.

End of 2021 almost here. A couple of good adds. Still far from where it could be in comparison to some papers. Hopefully 2022 will be a better year. There are areas for improvement, areas for growth, and opportunities… but 2022 will be interesting to watch! Happy New Year everyone!
