Looks like repaint instead (based on the final transponder position). Strange that they would repaint an aircraft when everyone's pressed for cash, but it's likely something contractual.

Might’ve jumped to conclusions on that one after I saw the -KD suffix; however, I also remember another one with a -KD suffix that flew to MCI a few weeks ago so I thought it was the same deal.

Based off the taxi track of this GA aircraft (Beech V35 Bonanza N858D), the taxiway next to the power plant is now OPEN (YAY!!). This means that we'll be able to get some great shots from that location (used to have some Delta and Volotea aircraft parked there).

Take perimeter road heading North, then RIGHT after the power plant entrance, there will be a paved little ‘ramp’ up to a dirt road. Take that (heading West) for about 0.2 miles and it’ll open to a panoramic clearing which is amazing for runway 21 arrivals.

I’ve only seen it happen once in my life (GE 744 on a VERY windy day), but it’s a great view (see image below):

Interesting to see the taxiway has been reopened and that runway is being used, but I have to ask where on earth did they park all those Delta B777's/B767's and the Qantas A380 that was on that runway. Also the number of B787's plus more arriving where have / can they park all those. Would be really great to see new aerial shots of KVCV now that 21 is now open and all those aircraft have been reshuffled.

Based off this new satellite imagery (images taken mid November 2020), that black strip of tarmac that looks new (and where there are a few 787s) is where they're parking most of them. There are also a few off to the extreme west side of the airport. VCV is getting QUITE full, I'd say above 90% of max capacity (and that includes parking airplanes on dirt where they can).

Yes saw that from previous pics of that restored tarmac area. By my calculations using scaled modelling for FSX I cant squeeze more than 23 787's in that area with the 7478 as well.

By my count including the Qatar due today, there are 37 787's without the LAN/LATAM units.

The 787's on the west side are the LAN/LATAM units along wit two A350's and LAN/LATAM A321's is that right?

The photo is OK, but cant be zoomed to see clearly where things are.

Lets hope someone gets a flyby soon so I can update my FSX rendition of KVCV with parked aircraft.

Qatar cancelled today, but should be flying in by this week is what I've heard.

That is correct, the 787s on the north-west side are LAN/LATAM aircraft. There are a handful (around 5, maybe one or two more) on the south-western side where the 737MAXs are also parked, but I haven't been since late November so I'm not sure exactly where they are.

Agreed, I would also like to see some more aerial views of VCV soon.

In another thread, we are tracking Skybus's DC-8Fs. Was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are DC-8Fs continuing to be stored at VCV? I know N805SJ flew in and then departed a few months back.
