Didn't mention daily cash burn, but I'm sure it will be on the call today.

Found average daily cash burn - $4M. This is the same for the average for the full year.

Like DL (and in contrast to UA), yield held up pretty well - at the cost of load factor.

AA earnings are out Jan. 28. It will be interesting to see a 6-way AA/DL/UA/WN/AS/B6 comparison on key metrics for 4Q20.

Alaska thinks recovery will be quite fast, 80% of 2019 capacity this summer. I saw interview on CNBC with Alaska President that was very upbeat. He was very excited about the Max reducing costs through fuel savings, reduced maintenance costs and fleet simplification (retiring the A320's). Alaska's recent and Southwest's previous experiences with mixed fleets sure make the Anet argument that running mixed fleets doesn't add too much cost look silly.

I would love to know the revenue splint with American for their alliance. I understand this is proprietary information, but I sense that Alaska is in a very strong position for the revenue.

I responded in more detail in another thread, but please note that the 80% number mentioned in the earnings call is Alaska's planned capacity this summer versus 2019, not their forecast for passenger traffic.

They were indeed very upbeat about the benefits of the MAX entering the fleet.

Alaska's recovery is not necessarily the same as the rest of the industry. And it does have its mixed fleet, Horizon and Alaska. Some airlines do well with mixed fleets, Alaska (sans Horizon) and WN's do not.
