3 x P-8s

No tanker deliveries this month, neither to the BDS USAF tanker program nor actual fly-aways. :(

Which 787 do you mean? The one from Air Premia was only delivered on April 1st, so it doesn’t count as March. Only United took two 787s in March.

The Air Premia 787 would have been contractually delivered in March

Boeing seems to have messed up their own figures. The press release above shows that ALC took delivery of the 787 in March for Air Premia so make a total of 3.

The above figures from my list need the 737s reduced by 1 as it's clear now from only one Alaska showing for March that N915AK actually delivered in January (there are 2 showing on Jan's report so the other is N913AK).

Mid month count thus far for Boeing is poor :

to 18th :

3x 787
1x 767
1x 777
4x 737

:(

The latest wiring issues may be affecting the 737 deliveries.

But what is with the 3x 737 anf the 1x 777?

Boeing only shows 2 787, both 787-9 to United, listed as delivered per end of March YTD, in their official release

They also list 19 delivered MAX in March, and I make that out at 4 -9 and 15 -8? But it easy to mix it up, as it is a rather manual work try to find the split

I know what Boeing says - that's obviously where I got the figures from. Their numbers are wrong or the press release about the ALC delivery dated March 31 is wrong. Someone is lying as the ALC isn't listed on Boeing's March deliveries page.

The 737 figures are correct. I have no idea what point you're making. There were 20 fly-aways in March as per the original preliminary listing, but it transpires that 1 of them had already contractually delivered in January which had been overlooked.

I wouldn't call it lying, but as seen with both Airbus and Boeing, the dates used on press releases doesn't always match with the contractual delivery dates. Guess we'll figure out after the April numbers, and assume we're sure it wasn't a 2020 delivery? Wasn't it the first A330-900 to Corsair that while the delivery was "celebrated" in March, it turned out the aircraft was contractually delivered to the leasing company last year?

I think we should not read into both OEM delivery and order notes to exact number, unless we want to split our hairs over it, as last year 2020 we had an unprecedented event and its effect is trickling into this year. A lot of aircraft order and delivery are messed up due to various reasons: lack of financing, cancellation, built but not delivered/ delayed delivery, stored but not delivered etc. However I would like to express my thank-you all contributors here who are diligently tracking the numbers.

It is kind of crazy though, when you look at the numbers alone it almost looks like Boeing is exiting the narrow body market.

Great recovery on the 787s and continuous strong performance in the freighter deliveries.

Just a reflection on what is built and who is willing to accept deliveries. Total variant deliveries is usually more insightful in year or year comparisons than individual variants, as the individual models built will differ based on orders. Can be used to see trends though (such as rise of A321).

Covid related. A lot of the -10s are wrapped up or in the desert. BA is expected to be taking their third this month though

In April, Boeing recorded a delivery of a GE-engined 787-9 to Atlantis Aviation Corporation. ANA had announced a switch from RR last year and a leasing agreement with Atlantis Aviation for three aircraft so it is likely this delivery will eventually be operated by ANA.

Is it known which line number this recorded Atlantis Aviation delivery represents? Could it be a frame originally produced for some other operator (e.g., Vistara), but not taken up, that Boeing/Atlantis have negotiated an earlier delivery to Atlantis in lieu of a later slot?

Thanks.

Boeing preliminary report for April :

= 16 :(

The current tally of undelivered 737 Max frames that have already flown stands at 379.

One more 787 was delivered in April according to update on Boeing's website, the totals are:

4x 737
0x P8
0x 747
1x 767
1x tanker
2x 777F
9x 787

=17

Not a strong month, but it's good to see that the 787 deliveries are up and running again.

The 9th was N882BA which has gone into storage until ANA make up their mind whether they're taking them or not.

Thanks, RobK.

According to the Test Flights spreadsheet, the LN 1094 ferry flight CHS to VCV used "N882BA" as call sign instead of a BOExxx flight number, so that was something "different".

But the FAA website, even as of today, indicates that SN 66523 / N882BA is still owned by Boeing - which is odd for an aircraft Boeing recorded as having been delivered to a Japanese lessor.

Plural of Aircraft is Aircraft!

Either way, 5 to Aeroflot is nice to see.

Might be 9 737s as seems that TF-ICB probably signed off this month.

Thanks for the correction. Still, these numbers are disappointing. There is only hope that Team B has plenty of room for improvement !?

Yup 2 Neos Max 8s now on their way to their new home. So that’s 11 and we are day 8. This might be the month they break their spell of really low deliveries and that’s with the 787 not being delivered
