Just seen on the FR24 that a plane was red so I tapped on it and the BA lhr-ABZ flight is diverting to MAN (I guess it being highlighted means something is wrong).

Anyone got any information?

Fred

It was squawking 7700, whivh means the crew declared an emergency and switched the transponder to the emergency code. You can set FR24 to send you a notification any time this happens.

I'd search the news for 'Manchester Airport' and the like, as the day goes on. Maybe there wilk be a story. Hopefully the problem was minor enough not to even be newsworthy.

It left for ABZ again after about 1 hour on the ground in MAN and is currently on its way back to LHR from ABZ. So, as suggested above, no issue with the plane.
