Does anyone know what the white aircraft with blue bellies and blue angled striped tails are that are parked near the "Janet" stand at LAS? There's a 747, a couple of small jets and I think a 757 but it is obscured from my angle.
If I had to guess, sadly, the LVS Flight Department is probably on borrowed time. Sheldon Adelson loved his fleet of planes and was always an aviation entrepreneur. IIRC he actually owned a few L-1011 charter operations back in 80s/90s. There were rumors floating around that this fleet of eclectic aircraft would come to an end, once Sheldon passed away. While I hope this is not true, the selling off of all the LV operations really eliminates the company's need for long haul aircraft. He used the A345 and 74L to go back and forth to Israel and other long haul destinations along with the VIP work the aircraft performed. His passing will now drastically reduce this requirement.
