A boy left his Buzz Lightyear inside a plane...

Wed Mar 17, 2021 3:32 pm

An awesome, heartwarming story, showing some airline employees that went more than the extra mile...

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world
The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings
The heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own

Such a nice heartwarming story! Glad that there are people like that in the world who go the extra mile.(Also imagine if that toy was actually that size compared to the 737-700!

The people at Southwest that I have ran into have always been awesome, it was nice to see Buzz return from a successful mission! :)

Our childhood toys can leave impressions that last a lifetime. I still remember my Johnny Express truck. Glad they were able to reunite the child with Buzz.

Jason is a great guy, so this story does not surprise me at all. He does stuff like this all the time for people and makes them loyal SWA customers. He stands for everything SWA!

Is anyone else picturing the scene in Toy Story 2 where the toys escape from an airplane's cargo hold?

That is absolutely fantastic, how to make a young child happy over a horrible (for a small child) situation.

With a name of Hamm, the agent just had to tap into the Toy Story narrative.

I loved this story.

WN certainly excels at stuff like this.

For all the crew that would throw off a 3 year old for not wearing a mask...this is how you treat toddlers

I have experienced Southwest employees going out of their way to get me on a plane I was late for, something that doesn’t happen elsewhere in my experience. That’s why I always check their schedule first when planning a trips and will fly them when fares are comparable. Corporate culture makes a huge difference in a service industry.

This reminds me of my days as gate agent at Olympic. Usually we took the domestic pax by bus to the arrivals hall and one day I noticed a sizeable toy lizard stuffed with beads, supple, shiny, multi-coloured that was left in the bus, a beautiful thing to touch. We rushed back just in time before the passengers got in the lounge and surely enough, a young boy heard me and collected his toy. Now, that was thirteen years ago. How time flies!

Agreed, super nice dude. He takes some absolutely amazing photos and has been an inspiration to my own photo taking of our SWA birds from different angles, using water puddles for reflection shots etc.
