The larger titles to me always looked a bit strange on smaller jets, like the 320/319. American's titles across the 319 fuselage looks so large. I do like the revised AF scheme here, though wonder just how expensive this undertaking is, or are they just prioritizing it across jets as they go in for heavier maintenance and paint cycles.

I think these smaller adjustments are what the OP was referring to, though some more information might have been nice. Here's an example of the larger titles and hippocampe/AF-KLM adjustments:
