Quietest seat on any Global Expess is the aft cabin, where the bed is on the G7500.

Interesting

The maximum fuel load is just a little less than our standard 727-200’s, with 154 seats full we could fly about 1800 NM non stop

Compared to carrying 8 people 7500 NM !

How far could you fly with 8 people?

The G7500 has almost exactly the same fuel load and MTOGW, it’ll be interesting to see if the Pearls can match the Passport burns. Pearls aren’t doing so at this point.

Now I have watched videos of it being presented I feel a bit more used to it, The more I look at it the more I think it looks like a Bac 1-11 NG in overall proportions (esp the vert/hori stab). The nose also reminds me of two things 1) Cleopatra's nose (Asterix and Cleopatra) and also a Meerkat nose.

It’s only in the CGI renderings stage, wait for the cut metal.

I think the point is 8 people need the same fuel as 154 for a shorter mission. In terms of people miles flown, a wee bit of fuel.

Lightsaber

That’s with auxiliary tanks of course

We had none of those, standard fuel load on our -9 powered 727-200’s was 54k

With 8 people how far could you go ?!

That’s basically an empty aircraft, like ferrying empty so NY-LA is possible if the headwinds not too bad

A Valsan 727 conversion is about a 9 hour plane. A friend flew one that had zero payload with full fuel until the winglets were installed which allowed spec range with reduced fuel.

It is a pity they are trading off their trademark short field performance for this.

I just want to come in and say... I like the nose. It has a certain water fowl look to it that gives it a friendly, cheerful, vibe to me. So at least there is one of us that likes it.
