DL Bastian presentation 3 June '21

Wed Jun 09, 2021 3:07 pm

Regrets if this saw significant discussion elsewhere.

On June 3, 2021, Ed Bastian, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Air Lines, Inc., will present at the Bernstein Strategic Decisions Conference. The presentation
to be used in conjunction with Mr. Bastian’s remarks is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.

The SEC 8-K filing: https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/C ... e3dad8.pdf

Bastian made some remarks on revenue and on ops structure.

Positioned to achieve 2019 revenues no later than 2023 on more efficient cost structure. That's not quite a net income projection, but indicative.

4Q21 ASMs expected to be at ~85% of 2019 levels.

From 2019 to 2025:

Reducing mainline pilot categories from ten to seven.

Increasing avg gauge by ten+ seats.

Going from 13 'fleet families' to nine fleet families.

They intend to drop four families between 2019 2025 (from 13 to nine).

They’re already eliminated the M88, M90 and 777 - that’s three families.

They’ve announced that both the 717 and 763 would be gone by the end of 2025, but it appears one may linger on a little longer.

Both the MD-88 and MD-90 had 1 single type rating and were considered in the “same family.”
