Western Global takes last LH Cargo MD-11's.

Soon no more LH Cargo tri-jets. Maybe a top-up 777F order from LH - or possible A350F launch customer ?

I wonder what will happen with Inge and Claudia loved watching them fly their LH MD-11F's.

I guess either transition to the 777 or retire.

I have really hard time imagining WGA as a launch customer for anything.

Going to be interesting to see where they'll house those aircraft after conversion to WGA colors...their small ramp area in Shreveport is already packed to maximum.

Probably RSW- their HQ is in Estero, FL. Plenty of ramp space available where the old terminal used to be. Over the years I've seen multiple WGA birds there.

A little off:

MD11s:

411SN Heavy check at TPE
412SN Flying military (recently heavy-checked at TPE)
415JN Broken at MEM since 4/29/21. Broke near SJU. Ferried back to MEM 11 days later.
512JN Flying US-Asia.
513SN Flying Fedex (USPS) ex-MEM (LAX, ONT, HNL, SJU)
581JN Flying US-Asia.
799JN Flying Fedex (USPS) ex-MEM (as above)
542KD Flying Fedex (USPS) ex-MEM (as above)
543JN Flying Fedex (USPS) ex-MEM (as above)
545JN Flying US-Asia
--------
546JN At SHV over a year, having arrived from being in-service.
435KD At SHV since 5/3/20 (over a year), arrived from MHV.
804SN At SHV since 6/29/18 (almost 3 years), arrived from VCV. In LH-ish colors.

So 3 long-term broken at SHV. One broken at MEM. One in Heavy Check at TPE. One on military. 3 on US-Asia. 4 on Fedex. Total 13. These assignments change around a lot, but that's as of today. I didn't count the one that's been at OSC for longer than the above and unlikely ever to move again.

Then, whatever is coming, for whatever reason.

On the 744 side, it's pretty-straightforward. They have 344KD and 356KD, converted Fs. Then they have 258SN, a former Atlas factory-F that they bought at the perfect time, but then took forever to heavy-check at SHV and put into service. Now humming away for them. And apparently a couple more on the way soon, as they are patched back together.

What is with the broken plane in MEM? Almost two months AOG is a significant amount of time.

Nah, I meant could LH Cargo make a move for A350F's to supplement their 777F's .
