Well, since I've got 15 years of catching up, I've got another thing in mind.
SJU has gone through A LOT of changes since American dehubbed it. I haven't really travelled since 2017 (studies and all) and a lot of changes took place afterwards. Terminals D and E were partially merged into one, whereas the former American Eagle ramp sees a lot of different usage. Sometimes it's the Cargolux flight, sometimes it's military aircraft, and sometimes it's Silver/Seaborne. Aside from that, it's not uncommon to see Spirit, United, American, Delta and others use the jetway-equipped gates in Terminal D; airlines that mainly use Terminals B and C. I know charter flights use Terminal D on a regular basis but what's up with the D and E gates and the former American Eagle ramp? Are they all common use gates?
And since Terminal E is apparently under construction (the structure was definitely a sad sight with the broken windows and removed jetways), what's the plan for it?
Spirit, Southwest and Frontier are adding quite a few routes but that's hardly a preamble for a Base/Focus City. And Jetblue seems more interested in TJBQ and TJPS rather than adding flights to their Focus City at SJU. Even American's added the Austin route, although it'll surprise me if it lasts.
