AI126 from Chicago to Delhi has turned around at the border and now flying southwest along the border https://fr24.com/AIC126/28cba788

Just to the south of it, a 747 BCF bound for Delhi as well is about to enter Afghani airspace: TVR750 https://fr24.com/TVR750/28caaaeb

Later Edit: TVR750 is also doing a 180 after briefly entering Afghani airspace.

Air India 126, ORD-DEL just make a 180 degree turn before entering Afghan airspace, seems to be going around it via Iran, maybe they will have to land somewhere before reaching Delhi.
I read that TK sent today a B77W (THY97E). it is the first international flight to land in a while, must be on ground by now

I'm guessing AI ops got themselves together after AI104 crossed into Afghan airspace at the same place.

Turkish landed.

Wonder if the US shut down Afghanistan to overflights. They were taking over ATC today.

There's no NOTAM or release yet.

Also a US State Dept Dash 8-300 just took off and turned north. TK707 (77W) is taxiing to runway 29 right now.

Interesting, if the tracker is correct, TK parked in the north apron, that's the military side of the airport, the pax terminal is on the south side.

I guess they are going back to Baku, fuel won't be a problem, they were not even half way yet. Air India looks like it's going direct to Ashgabat, maybe refueling and departing again to Delhi via another route.

So the airport perimeter was breached by people desperate to leave but taliban refuses to let locals leave.

And Afghanistan airspace is now uncontrolled. Air India quickly turned around and left Afghan airspace.

I mean they could authorize people to enter and exit. I’m just surprise AI turned so Late. They clearly weren’t intending too.

Probably didn’t realize it until Iran handed them off to Afghan Control. Could be an interesting debrief when that crew arrives.

True true. AI126 (77W ORD-DEL) looks headed toward Mashhad, Iran now. It will be interesting to see where they will land. I can't imagine them having enough fuel for that much of a detour.

ORD passengers won’t be happy to land in Iran!

Edit. Flight aware says they are landing at Sharjah UAE. Probably a good choice

Seeing the videos of KBL airport I am surprised that they can even have the runway open, so many people around the tarmac trying to get in planes is not safe, they can just walk in the runway and blocked, I don't really think anyone can control the airport right now.

Any plane can be hidden from ADS, not a big issue.

Spain govt said they will be sending 2 A400M to evacuate around 400 people, initially the planes will go to Dubai and fly from there to Afganishtan, I wont believe until I see, I dont trust Spain govt.

TK plane is back in the apron, I think it was crazy to send a commercial plane without the situation totally under control.

2 B52 on the way?? They must have candies and cookies on board to destroy military installations and equipment left behind.
I saw a very nice photo of the B52 sent for the mission, not the standard paint

100% and they did. I was more thinking crowd control/airfield security issues.

The plane itself is a tank. I get to watch them almost every day where I'm at now, never ceases to amaze me.

Looks like a couple of C130s now moving around on the military ramp. Will be interesting to see if they get out given some of the gunfire reports.

They will definitely make it out. It’s built to take shots

100% and they did. I was more thinking crowd control/airfield security issues.

The plane itself is a tank. I get to watch them almost every day where I'm at now, never ceases to amaze me.

If it’s a c130 gunship then it is the crowd control. I think we can be pretty sure the taliban didn’t acquire any AA if they usaf is flying around with their transponders on
