We covered these yesterday, these are CIA likely. They've been operating in-country for a while now.

Keep an eye out for other State Department aircraft. I caught one of their C-32Bs (RR engined 757 with inflight refueling capability) crossing Portugal on a transatlantic deployment a few days ago. Those are usually used for transporting special capability teams during times like this.

German Luftwaffe has evacuated 225 people with their 5th A400M flight out of Kabul. Now total of >600:

The Italian Air Force deployed a C130 to shuttle 210 Afghani civilians out of KBL on two flights this afternoon; passengers from both flights later boarded a KC767 back to Italy.

I have to say I'm impressed with what Luftwaffe and Bundeswehr has accomplished so far. Good work. It's also nice to see that the A400M is being utilized to such a degree by multiple nations.

General question on topic: Is there a better site to follow these flights than Flightradar24? I know they're turning off their ADS-B north of Muscat, but still.

48 second video from the ground at Kabul. They had to use the downdraft from Apache gunships to clear the runway for the C-17 to be able to taxi.

There's no violence and it is on topic.

We never had any videos or pictures taken on how Boeing 777 was able to take off from the crowded Runway and we still don't have any footage.

But we finally have a potato video on a Boeing 777 that fits the description of the Turkish plane on the military side of Kabul Airport before the US military was able to clear the Runway.

Skip to 0:29 for the brief glimpse on the aircraft.

Just came across this photo showing the TK 777 in the background.

Been using sources other than fr24 and flightaware where to monitor the movements of the assets of a major passenger government contractor. Fascinating to see how quickly assets were deployed to safe-ish nearby countries, presumably to run repatriation while the military assets rotated to pluck people from Kabul. The inbound flights from CONUS and elsewhere may also be bringing troops.

Sometimes I find it useful to play around with https://globe.adsbexchange.com/, because it allows to filter military traffic easily. Their coverage seems subpar compared to FR24, though.

This is quite an interesting one to follow. It's Hillwood Airways (possible links to CIA - they share same space as Dynacorp at Fort Worth Alliance which has known links to the CIA) BBJ N737AT heading on a very convulted route from Amman ADJ to Kabul as HWA228. Not only that but it is due to change its callsign to SIX PACK 60 upon entering Afghanistan airspace from Turkmenistan (south of Dushanbe).

A RAF C17A popped up near Kandahar, is this a result of bad ADSB coverage or did the Brits manage to get in to regions other than Kabul to evacuate their people? https://fr24.com/NAG33XT/28d6045c

Now on ground in ISB but nowadays actually not really a rare visitor. It is the third SAS 320N to fly CPH-ISB this week. One of them (SE-DYC) departed back to CPH via DXB yesterday and one (SE-ROG) is still on ground in ISB arriving 62 hours ago.

These flights are chartered by the Danish government evacuating interpreters and local employees. How they are evacuated to Islamabad is unclear (https://www.dr.dk/nyheder/indland/84-ev ... koebenhavn (sorry in Danish only)

Even more exotic is the Danish DAT MD-83 OY-RUE that evacuated people to CPH via TBS a few days ago: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/oy-rue

No worries, the Dutch are also coordinating with other European countries to get their people out.
Yesterday evening, a Hungarian-based C17 brought 30+ people from KBL via TBS all the way to AMS

So is the Taliban are blocking all entrances to the airport, why isn't the US shuttling US Citz from the embassy to the airport?

Surely the embassy compound can be made secure short term?

Do you know if it broke down in Kabul or Islamabad?

The good thing is that there are a lot of Hercules flights going on, so maintenance engineers and parts is probably not that difficult to get hold of, even if it's at Kabul.

How would that help? Word would get out, people would swarm the embassy compound, the Taliban would set up checkpoints and the situation would end up the same as at the airport except you'd have the extra step of shuttling to the airport.

National Airlines' A330 pax bird, which has done largely-domestic work for the military since it came into service a few months ago, is now on the way from CHS to SOF. A lot of the passenger-lift US defense contractor flights seem to be moving to and through SOF in the past few days. Staging.
