Does anyone know if EI have any plans for the remaining 2 A330-200s GEY and DUO? GEY is relatively knew to the fleet although not the youngest overall ans DUO surely has some years left?
Well EI-GEY is approaching 20 years, as were the other 332s (LAX, DAA & EWR) that have since left so there is a strong possibility GEY will leave too. Especially given the fact that it still has the old biz cabin (Ex Qatar). So will they need a single 332? My guess is probably not, they already have a few 333s that they got last year and I doubt they need extra capacity.
Correct me if I’m wrong but i think the EI 332s were nearly always used on west coast routes that the 333s couldn’t reach? Because of crew rests and range but the new 333s can fly west coast so there isn’t much of a need for 332s.
